My Lonesome Rose: A Soldier’S Book of Poems
()
About this ebook
In deep and silent meditation, but far from total relaxation, I sit here each lonely night and search my thoughts for words to write.
Experience a yearning, strength of mind, and determination to win not only a war but also the heart of his hometown bride-to-be.
Mario Liberatore
Mario Liberatore grew up in East Boston and served as a technical sergeant in the US Army from 1942 to 1946, specializing in radio communications. After the war, he worked for thirty-two years on advanced technologies at Air Force Cambridge Research Labs (AFCRL) at Hansom Air Force Base in Lexington, Massachusetts. He has been married for more than sixty-seven years to the woman he writes of here and has a family of three children, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
