Calvin Earl Dallas
Calvin E. Dallas, born on April 2, 1952, the fourth child of Sally Dallas and Leslie Dallas, a family of ten, five girls and five boys, from time Calvin was young enough to watch TV; he realized he was magnetized to those martial arts movies. Never really coming from a martial arts background, his father’s skills were in Baseball and his mother was into singing in church, but as time went along Calvin became a varsity letter winner in Cross Country and track in Washington High in Milwaukee Wisconsin, and the university of Wisconsin Madison, with a BSA in Art Education, he is presently an art teacher at Joseph Gomez Elementary school in the US Virgin Islands, St. Thomas, he has represented the US Virgin Islands, in two Olympic Marathon 1988 in Seoul Korea, and 1992 in Barcelona Spain, Calvin’s first instructor in Tai Chi was Mike Mamora A Fourth Degree Aikido expert and second was Sensei Tohei a Ninth Degree Aikido expert, and final instructor was Sifu Mike. Each day Calvin teaches tai chi to children and adults. Travel experiences has been to Africa, Europe, Asia, US, and the Caribbean, Calvin’s style of Tai Chi is unique because it is a combination of Aikido, Bagua, Tai Chi, with Chen style, Wu style and Yang style Tai Chi mixed together Calvin has been studying and practicing Tai Chi for thirty years.
