About this ebook

Whenever God speaks to us it is wise to obey and leave the results to Him. God gave Ally the vision of writing a book about stay-at-home moms. However, when she tried to choose women she thought would be a good fit it did not take long for her to realize that God had His own choice of women He wanted to use. The results are a Holy Spirit tribute to six Godly women who allowed the Lord to use them in awe-inspiring and often miraculous ways.

One day in my living room I asked the Lord, What can I do to help me stay home with my daughter? My husband had been deployed to the Middle East, so I was alone with her. When I asked that question, a clear answer came to me: Why not write about stay-at-home moms. At first I thought, I don’t know any stay-at-home moms. Then, I remembered I had a neighbor who was a stay-at-home mother of five kids. The idea just kind of stayed with me because it came in the form of a suggestion. However, I did not do anything with it right away.

But later when I really started thinking about it I considered, Maybe there are stories of women who the world doesn’t really see. I guess that was where God was leading me. It is almost like the roles of stay-at-home moms are insignificant by comparison. The world views them like they are just there, not really doing anything. I think that is where the Lord was taking me with this. Yes they stay at home, but they still minister and work through their lives. They are still a big part of His plan. Instead of being in the public eye, per se, it is almost as if they are working behind the scenes. But, God is still working. The idea grew, and the Lord just really led me.

I thought, Well, why not write about these women—what God has done for them? I am talking about miraculous things. The Lord started to show me different women. For example, one of the women in the book sings in the church choir. The Holy Spirit just spoke to me one day and said, Ask her. So, I went over to her and gave some background of where the Lord was leading me. I told her that I was not even sure what I was supposed to do with the information. I said, I’m just gathering it. I told her that the Lord had told me to ask her if she would be willing to participate. She said she would, and asked me how to go about giving her testimonial. I said, Well, ask the Lord what He would have you put on paper, because honestly, I know nothing about journalism. Just ask Him to lead you. I knew that He would fill in the rest, but it was up to me to get it started.

A few of the ladies I thought would be good candidates did not work out. As a result, what I finally said was, Lord, let me let you do this. I finally got to that point, so the six women in this book are truly inspired by the Holy Spirit. The neighbor, who was a stay-at-home mom with five kids, one day, asked me, So, what are you going to do with all of those stories? I replied, I don’t know. Later that day in my kitchen, I prayed, Lord, I have all this information and I don’t know what to do with it. Do I just quit? Do I just leave it alone?

That night I had a dream, set in the place where I lived as a child. I was with two of my brothers, only they were younger. We were in the huge backyard area, and a box had just fallen from Heaven. All four corners of the box were open. I looked at that box, and I had to get to it. I did not know why, but for some reason I just had to get to it. My brothers were literally trying to pull me back. They had both my arms holding me back from reaching this box, and I remember somehow just pulling away. I ran to the box and reached inside, and there was a book.

Suddenly, I was by myself. I looked at the book; it was white in color, and it looked like it had plants. It had six different pictures. I remember looking through the book and thinking, Whoa, this is a book on testimonies. Only in the dream, the apostle Paul had written the book. I thought, Wow he’s written a book on testimonies, just like I’m doing. Immediately, I wondered who published the book. When I flipped the book over it read Faith-Based Publications. To tell you the truth, I had never heard of Faith-Based Publications, and I did not think much more about the dream until later when my daughter and I were on the Internet. I tried searching for Faith-Based Publications, but the results were only about faith. The next day I thought I would just search for Faith Publications. But still, I only found things about faith. I was about to turn off the computer when
