About this ebook

Adolescents in America are very confused and have the right to be. Peer pressure, the lack of parental guidance, social media, television, and music lyrics turn their lives upside down. Adolescents cannot sometimes recognize positive infl uences anymore due to the combination of positive and negative. Unfortunately, some adolescent females are left to learn things on their own, trial and error. Inside this possible recipe of sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS, unintended teen pregnancy, a lack of self-esteem, respect for oneself or others, remains a disaster.

This book is series 1. It is simply a Sex 101, yet appropriate for ages ten years old and up. Some may ask, why ten years old? The answer is because many girls begin their menstruation cycle at that tender age, and the earlier they are empowered with knowledge, the better decisions they can make.

Regardless if you are sexually active or not, consider this an informational tool to unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, and not being taken advantage of in relationships.

In todays society, numerous children are having children, and in some cases, their parents have been teen parents who have watched their dreams diminish. It doesnt matter where you come from. It doesnt matter what your parents are or who they may not have become. It doesnt matter what people say about you. It only matters that you believe you can change your life by not giving into this generational cycle!

What Parents Are Afraid to Tell Their Daughters - Kymberly Taylor-Brookins

    PRELUDE

Adolescents in America are very confused and have the right to be. Peer pressure, the lack of parental guidance, social media, television and music lyrics turn their lives upside down. Adolescents cannot sometimes recognize positive influences anymore due to the combination of positive and negative. Unfortunately, some adolescent females are left to learn things on their own; trial and error. Inside this possible recipe of sexually transmitted diseases; including HIV/AIDs, unintended teen pregnancy, a lack of self-esteem, respect for one’s self or others, remains a disaster.

For 7 years, I have worked as a Certified Pregnancy Prevention Advocate. I was surprised but happy to see the level of comfort adolescents felt discussing sex and relationships and other things with me. However, I was disappointed by how little they knew about their bodies and other necessary topics. You learn by asking questions and that they did! There was no filter on the questions I was asked.

GOD appointed me to write this book to maintain the knowledge for my previous students and to bring clarity for things they many not understand or have no one to ask. This book and all of the series is to educate those I have not had the pleasure of meeting with knowledge they need to know.

This book is Series 1. It is simply a Sex 101, yet appropriate for ages 10 years old and Up. Some may ask why 10 years old? The answer is because many girls begin their menstruation cycle at that tender age and the earlier they are empowered with knowledge the better decisions they can make.

Regardless if you are sexually active or not, consider this an informational tool to unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases and not being taken advantage of in relationships.

My goal is to provide you the truth and dispel the myths you may have learned during your short years.

I would still advise you to find a trusted adult; whether it’s a family member, someone from your church, your nurse, physician or guidance counselor from your school; just a trusted knowledgeable adult you can confide in.

In today’s society, numerous children are having children and in some cases, their parents have been teen parents who have watched their dreams diminish.
