About this ebook

Luke 1:37 says: With God, all things are possible.

All things means all things. Regardless of your situation or condition, all things are possible to them that believe. God is waiting for you to turn your impossibilities into testimonies to the glory of God. Prayer Woman seeks to stimulate the faith of girls and women and help them to believe all that is written in the Scriptures. We have been called to glory and dominion. The world we live in today has been so infested with humanism and unbelief that the believers faith seemed to have been paralyzed; some choose to believe the report of ungodly men more than Gods report in His unfailing word.

Prayer Woman is for all women and girls in the family of God who want to take back their destiny from the controlling hands of the devil. It is for women who intend to stand in the gap for their families, churches, and areas of influence. Standing in the gap implies committing to enforce Gods will in our circumstances by speaking up and praying as the spirit of God directs us. Prayer Woman stirs us to pray and to also build our prayer vocabulary.

Author Lill Odhigu explains that we have powerful spiritual weapons available to us including the name and blood of Jesus and the Word and Love of God among many others. By using Prayer Woman to help us with our prayers, we can reclaim the spiritual world waiting for us.

    Dedication

    To Kathryn Kuhlman—

    a great woman of faith, who moved her generation to believe in the efficacy and potency of the word of God.

    To Kenneth Hagin—

    the great father of the word of faith movement.

    Prologue

    G od gave me a vision and I saw multitudes of God’s people permitting the devil to take their inheritance unchallenged. I heard a conversation between the devil networks and their leader. How are you able to do that so easily? asked the leader, surprised with the ease at which his assignments were accomplished.

    One of the demons jeered. They are harmless over here, and nothing to worry about, the demon replied. It was the Asia region demon representative who spoke. Also, I saw that the territorial demons were invading lives with afflictions—enslavement to debt, depression, cancer, fear, the spirit of barely-surviving and it doesn’t matter.

    Immediately, I understood that the vision portrayed the spiritual state in regions of Asia and Australia. I questioned God, What is happening Father? What is this about?

    My children are afraid to trust me, was His response. They are scared that their prayers may not be heard, said El Elyon, the Most High God.

    The devil’s strategy is to keep God’s children in bondage by making them believe that God does not answer prayers. They walk by sight rather than by faith! They have become so conformed to the mould of the world system that their faith in God’s infallible word has been greatly weakened. This book is a response to this vision.

    Introduction

    P rayer Woman is for all women and girls in the family of God who want to take back their destiny from the controlling hands of the devil. It is for women who intend to stand in the gap for their families, churches and areas of influence. Standing in the gap implies committing to enforce God’s will in your circumstances by opening your mouth and praying as the Spirit of God directs you.

    Receiving from God is an active engagement of your spirit soul and body. You don’t expect to receive from God in a passive state.

    —JANE EVANS

    I find Apostle Paul’s prayer particularly relevant here.

    Apostle Paul prayed . . .

    I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints

    (Ephesians 1:18 NIV)

    It is my prayer that God will open your eyes to see Him as God indeed! That He is able to do everything He says He will do in His word. Woman, don’t be afraid to believe God’s word!

    If you’ve had enough of the devil’s rampage, then Prayer Woman is for you. Prayer Woman is a tool to stir you to pray and to also build your prayer vocabulary. Pray the words into your life, don’t just read it like a novel.

    Do not be limited by the Prayer Woman—it is only a booster!

    Spiritual warfare is real. Take your stand and resist the enemy of your soul (Ephesian 6:13).

    It is time for you to open your mouth wide and refuse everything God has not planted in your life; and kick the devil out of your world.

    The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

    (Proverbs 18:21)

    The bible tells us that with our heart we believe, but it is with our mouth we release our salvation into reality (Romans 10:10).

    You have powerful spiritual weapons at your disposal:

    •   The name of Jesus (Philippians 2:9-10, John 14:13);

    •   The blood of Jesus (Colossians 1:13, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:14);

    •   The word of God (Psalm 119:130, Hebrew 4:12 Revelation 12:11, Psalm 33:6, Daniel 11:32);

    •   Love of God (Galatians 5:23 );

    •   The consuming fire of God’s presence (Hebrews 12:29, Jeremiah 5:14, 23:29, Exodus 3:2, 19:18, Psalms 97:3);

    •   Praise and worship to God (Acts 16:25, Joshua 6:13-20);

    •   Anointing oil (James 5:14); and so on.

    The space here is limited . . . the bible references are inexhaustible.

    Oh God, teach us to pray!

    Here is what God says about these weapons . . .

    The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

    (2 Cor. 10:4-5)

    The weapons are mighty through God, but they will accomplish nothing until they are effectively engaged in warfare. We are called to use these God-given weapons to:

    -   Demolish strongholds and arguments.

    -   Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

    How to use the Prayer Woman:

    -   Identify your prayer need or that of the person you are interceding for.

    -   Check the table of content and go to the specific prayer.

    -   The topics are independent and stand-alone. They don’t need to be followed serially.

    -   Pray actively with zest, zeal and passion. The prayer points are meant to be prayed-in, and not merely read like a list. Spend some time to understand and decipher the prayer point one by one, and then flesh it up in your own words in prayer.

    -   You can also get a prayer partner to join you. When Prayer Woman is being used in a group’s prayer session, it is recommended that one person (the prayer facilitator/coordinator) reads out the prayer suggestion one at a time, and then allow the congregation some time for the prayer to be prayed in before sharing the next prayer point.

    Fasting and Praying

    Please note that some issues will not be resolved until you include fasting to your prayers. Fasting accelerates your faith, sharpens your spiritual lens, puts you in the mood of prayer, and creates an atmosphere for commanding signs and wonders.

    It is highly recommended that all prayer women should engage in programs of fasting in order to experience uncommon miracles.

    But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.

    (Matthew 17:21)

    Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

    Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.

    (Isaiah 58:6,8)

    A call to pray

    For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

    Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

    And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

    (Ephesians 6:12-13, 18 NIV)

    Do not give the devil a foothold.

    (Ephesians 4:27)

    For this reason I kneel before the Father . . .

    (Ephesians 3:14)

    This is why it is said:

    Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.

    Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because
