About this ebook

When you are facing the troubles and pains of everyday life, do you feel that, instead of overcoming them, they are overcoming you? Are you letting your troubles get the best of you instead of seeking Gods help to deal with your challenges? As Christians, we must learn to turn to God for help in dealing with and ultimately resolving our problems. In Learning to Untie Gods Hands author Sherry York talks about the need for us to be able to understand what it takes to overcome the difficulties in our lives.

The negative behaviors we sometimes use in dealing with those troublessuch as bitterness, jealousy, and the inability to forgive ourselves and otherscan keep God from working in our lives. York offers seven steps that can turn your life around just as it did for her. It is her belief that God wants to give us the things we will need to fight our enemy the devil, but first we must untie Gods hands so that he can do His work with us. In order to untie Gods hands, however, you must first be in Gods hands. The most important step in untying Gods hands is that you must be born again.

By following these seven steps and becoming a willing, obedient vessel, you can have the opportunity to experience Gods love, help, and understanding in your life.

    Preface

On January 12, 2012, while driving home, I was talking to the Lord about writing a chapter for a book I had been asked to be a part of. I had never thought about writing until then. I did not have peace about it, so, after telling the Lord, Okay, I’m not going to do it, He began to flood my soul. In a matter of minutes I felt God had let me know I would write and have this title: Learning to Untie God’s Hands. I was so excited. I texted my sister, who I thought would help me do this, and locked the message in my phone. But God let me know that I could do this with Him helping me. I began to write. I was amazed at what He gave me: a message of hope and help that so many are in need of. I’m so glad God has allowed me to be His instrument.

    Introduction

The meaning of the word untie is to unfasten or unloose; to free from a restraint or bond. We do not know how important it is to have full access to God. Without confidence in who we are in Christ, we cannot expect anything from God. God cannot go against His own Word. Hebrews 4:16 (King James Version) says,

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

We should come to God with a clear conscience and a forgiving heart. Nothing can be in our way to the throne.
