About this ebook
Crescendo of PRAISES is a book of poetry and reflections of God that epitomize who He is in my heart and who He can be in the hearts of others and to any hungry soul. Taste and see that the Lord is good, merciful, gracious, loving, sovereign, great, endless, and boundless.
Mabel Elizabeth Henry
MABEL ELIZABETH HENRY was born in Brooklyn, New York, where she resided until November 1988. She relocated to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where she is currently living. The love of God is her theme for life and has been from the day she received Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord. Mabel is elated for this vast opportunity to be able to communicate what God truly mean to her through creative writing. Her aspirations are to edify and encourage all people through this poetic endeavor. In addition to writing poetry, Mabel has composed songs for an album in which she sang with the group called Chrisma. The name Chrisma is taken from the Greek and means “the endowment or anointing of the Holy Spirit.” Her reliance is absolutely on the anointing and enrichment which she believes only the Holy Spirit can inspire to share with the world by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for You so loved the world that You sent Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to save the world from self-destruction and sin. (John 10:10) I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
SKU-000557234.pdf I would like to dedicate this book to the memory of my mother, Anna Lee Baskerville-Henry, who has gone home to be with the Lord. Knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. She was my anchor throughout this life and someone who really believed that God would work everything out that concerned me. I know in my heart of hearts that she was instrumental in making intercessions for me which led to my salvation. I thank God that she was my mother most dear.
SKU-000557234.pdf I would like to acknowledge my father, John Edward Henry Sr., for his contribution poems, Heavenly Father, When God Comes into Your Heart and My Songbird
which was inspired in memory of Whitney Houston who he lovingly refers to as a songbird. My brothers, John Jr. and Norman, my sister, Wilhelmina Khabir-Henry, sisters-in-laws, Victoria and Mary Henry, and all of my family members for all of their prayers and support in and through every endeavor of this journey on earth.

Have you ever met people and it feels like you have known them your whole life? Yes, that’s Pastors John and Penny. Special thanks for that extra push for me to walk in what and all that God has called me to do. Thanks to all of the members of RORM for all of the prayers and words of encouragement and to Ministers Theresa Reid and Michael McDonald for their prophetic words which were like giant waves navigating me towards my destiny. As you minister, always remember that you never know when poems or songs can be birthed. All inspiration comes from the Holy Spirit through us, and we can edify one another through our words and lives. Acknowledgments are also extended to each one of you for the poems in this book.

Preface
I would like to start by acknowledging and giving thanks to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for all of the information contained in this book of prose, poetry, free-verse, spirited expression, and moments of reflections. It is truly a blessing to be able to express myself to the glory of God through stanza. The Holy Spirit expressly teaches and inspires me to write and has provided all inspiration in this endeavor. My heart soars to places that I didn’t know existed.
I invite you to come with me on a prayerful, worship filled, prose and poetic journey. (Proverbs 4:23) Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Come along with me on this poetic and prose expedition. We will begin our journey, once the end of this preface is complete, with a moment of reflection as depicted in Chapter One. I will share with you how one can be single but not alone. Bring your imagination, so that you can picture the portraits of splendor illustrated in and through this work; we will travel to places that your spirit always longs to go, and that your soul is learning through the transformation process. Join in with your spirit in unity and soar to heights and depths in God only considered or may not yet be experiential.
The purpose of this compilation is to share personal revelations of the majesty of God with you; as they were impressed in my spirit and transmit to all who will listen and hear with the expectation that they too will travel to their secret place in Christ Jesus and emerge with providence.
My aspiration is that all who read these poems can praise God along with me as our spirits soar in worship together through this poetic endeavor. Prose and poetry are avenues of expression, which reveals heart felt emotion as it portrays a technique of thought that can be medicine for the ache of the spirit and soul. I would like to inspire all those who read and hold the premise that compositions of words are expressions through laureates, which can spill out ointment. All of you who hold in high regard the spoken word to please read aloud and recite them in Church or any other avenue where expression is accepted. To all of you aspiring poets out there, I encourage you to get your pen, paper, computer and whatever is necessary to finish that poem and piece those wonderful thoughts together and share with us all that the Spirit inspires in your heart.
My prayer is to share all that has been given to me with you, beloved, to illuminate, elevate, encourage, revive you with the hope that restoration, renewal, refreshing, stimulation, restarting of praise and worship in your heart takes place and that it is a reality. That you will feel free enough to join in active praises through verse, and sing of God’s glory every day and in every way as we occupy until He returns, as we sojourn here on earth.
Praise of God and for Him is real and alive in the earth. The garments of praise are right within our reach. Praise lifts you up to that place where you were created to dwell and where you are seated with Christ Jesus in heavenly places.
My goal is to let the world know who Jesus Christ is through prose, song, poetry, and to declare the wonders of God and His unconditional love. Poetry is something that I have aspired to create from my early childhood in grade school. Now, because of you the reader, it can be actuality; without a reader there isn’t much need to write, it would only be a rehearsal within my own heart. I liken that to an orator but no listener. We all need each other. I need you right now, right at this very moment to incline your heart to what I desire to pass on.
Jesus Christ is the song that my heart keeps singing. I want to sing to all who will listen as they read each poem prepared for composition and all who will give me their undivided attention for just a little while. The Holy Spirit is my inspiration and to God the Father
