Lightning Seeds: Journey Through the Rainbow
()
About this ebook
Lightning Seeds is about formally acknowledging awareness within each and every one of us as we live our lives. It is about change and renewal. It is about intricately weaving feelings into your life. Helping to integrate, assimilate, and formalize feelings as the mainstream, where awareness is the norm, where spirituality is in the physical, not as something to be obtained through a misty veil at the end of a tunnel. It is a blueprint for change, a map, but not the territory. It is the nature of true reality, asking you what is your place therein. It is not about diluting the situations we may find ourselves in. The words are abstractions, a guide. As you open to any page, it is important to bear in mind what that page is making you aware of: a memory, a feeling, an experience, and emotions and attitudes that come with it. Do they still serve? See possibilities that change can bring, and with the purest intentions for your highest good, make a choice.
It challenges the view of seeing your life as being linear. It unfolds different lines. As you read, you choose your own ebbs and flows to follow your own spiritual path. The resonant and common thread is that we all contain light and love and experience change.
We simply cannot hope anymore that something will just happen; we have to be aware in our lives. We must all help ourselves. Sustain life from the inside out. We all have the knowledge, the means to ensure our survival by tapping into our soul, light, our lightning seeds.

About the Author
For Roz, my twin flame.
" And first the Heaven, Earth, and liquid plain,
The Moon’s bright globe and stars Titanium
A spirit fed within, spread through the whole
And with the huge heap mix’d infused a soul:
Hence man and beasts, and birds derive their strain
And monsters floating in the marbled main;
These seeds have fiery vigor, and a birth
of Heavenly race, but clog’d with heavy earth."
Virgil (70 – 19BC)
Preface
Preface
My mother taught me to always do as much as I could do for myself, exhaust all my avenues, and then ask for help if needed. She was not a conventional woman. She had a great mind yet was so childlike in her way. She was full of fun. Her name was Betty-Ann; she was my mother and everybody’s Aunty Betty. She was the most selfless woman I have ever known. Betty-Ann died at the age of sixty-six in October 2003. When she died, I could hear her talking to me, I could hear her voice. Three days after her death, while writing her eulogy, her voice disappeared from my mind, but I could still feel her, and her voice became my own.
Everyone has experience with change. That’s all grief is—change at a certain level. I have had a lot of experience with death, dying, and grief at work as a nurse, but most importantly in my own life, which has brought me to this very moment: the writing of Lightning Seeds: Journey through the Rainbow.
Everyone has his or her story to tell. Everyone is different, but I believe telling your story is important. Sometimes when I read about others’ lives, it is inspirational. I think if someone else can do that, so can I. It helps you to know you are not alone in this world. To read people’s stories is like a catalyst to move you forward, but sometimes you just don’t know how to move forward. I found myself in this situation, as you will see. No book and no person could help me, because I wasn’t open to receiving. It was so hard just to open my eyes every morning and realize this was my life and not a bad dream. It wasn’t pride that separated me from the world; it was believing I had to do as much as I could for myself. Every time I strayed from this path, emotional pain would appear. Sometimes I just wanted my friends to see me as I was: upset. I didn’t want their pity or solutions, because there was none. A friend told me, We can’t fix this.
This was the moment I knew that I had to do all that I could do for myself; I would find a way. This book is a culmination of what brought me to this point, the point of light from my experiences.
On December 2, 1999, I was in the Glenbrook train disaster. I was in the first carriage. The train ran into the back of another train, the Indian Pacific, due to a signal failure.
