About this ebook

Marilyne and Walt had a nineteen year pen pal relationship, thus it was only natural for Walt to contact her when he passed in January 2007. Quickly he introduced her to the bright realm he found himself in. Where knowledge and answers seem to flow around him like an old river, circumventing the veils of the third dimension, known as Earth, and like a theater skim, high lighting the depth and broadness of the creators vision. Within days, weeks he was sharing what he had experienced on passing, the moments as he grew within his new residence and the giddy excitement as old questions exploded with amazing new and always bolder answers, that arent answers at all, but always more thrilling possibilities and alternatives. He meets ancient seers, babes, prophets, Buddha and Jesus. He had always been a seeker of truth and spiritual knowledge but now that he is at the source he feels it is his duty to dispel the fear humans have of the other side and death. Three years into this correspondence Walt called a halt to this his first book, and his wife Lorraine (Cookie)and his friends have put this volume together for your enlightenment and education.

In 1928 Arnold and his mother sailed to the United States to join his father a tool designer in Hawthorne, California. Arnold graded from Leuzinger High School in June 1944. From August to November of 44 he worked as for Standard of California as a “sniffer” a person who smells for leaks from the large tanks. He was drafted into the U. S. Army after World II broke out and was stationed in the Philippines Islands from November 27, 1944 to November 24, 1946. Fortunately his Germany heritage kept out of the European theater . He continued photographing the Fresno ballet for the next 14 years. The photographs with only one ballerina are of Kelley Waddell, who is currently dancing with the American Ballet Theater in New York City. The picture of the two ballerinas is of Kelly Waddell and Maggie LeBaugh. This picture was taken when they both danced with the Fresno Ballet. Maggie is a former dancer of the Joffery Ballet Dancers in Chicago. Walt also photographed Francois and Chris Doyle. The photograph of the couple dancing was caught by Walt in a split second or less. Francois and Chris Doyle were in charge of the Fresno Ballet for eleven years. Walt passed away on January 19,2007 at the age of 80. But we feel his energy always near. His greatest desire was to share his joy of the great lessons he had learned as a spiritual gift to all.

    FOREWORD

Question everything; keep what is good.

    Apostle Paul—1 Thessalonians 5:21

This quote epitomizes Arnold Walt Walter. He took it to heart and it will become self-evident as you read his communications from beyond and his scholarly questioning of that which was offered him on earth. Walt’s curiosity and love of learning made him an extremely interesting man. He never lost touch with that innocent childlike spirit that forever questioned why? and he burgeoned into a man with an endless quest for knowledge and truth. He was a Renaissance man who could do it all, or at least gave everything his best effort. He was a student of life who became a teacher, an artist, a photographer, a philosopher, a cosmologist, a traveler, a historian and an eternal optimist. While he was fully aware that life offers suffering and despair he was forever filled with hope that mankind could find it’s goodness. Through his artist’s eyes he was always able to see the beauty in life, nature and people.

    INTRODUCTION TO WALT

    AND COOKIE

    WALT’S (ARNOLD WALTER) BIO

The following is a brief introduction, describing the years of creativity of Walt (Arnold Walter). His creative spectrum started with the fun of art in grade school and continued on even after receiving his Masters in Fine Arts from Fresno State in 1974. Walt based his Master’s Thesis on how society looked at art, according to our psychological types. The two types on which he focused were the introverted and extroverted ways of thinking, feeling, intuiting, and sensing. Walt often used fine arts in his everyday life as a way to look at things with a new perspective.

Walt was born in Kemnet Germany on August 2, 1926 into a strict religious home. His sister was born 4 years later. In 1928 Walt and his mother sailed to the United States to join his father, a tool designer in Hawthorne, California. Walt graduated from Leuzinger High School in June 1944. From August to November of 1944 he worked for Standard Oil of California as a sniffer; a person who smells for leaks from the large tanks.

He was drafted into the U. S. Army after World II broke out and was stationed in the Philippine Islands from November 27, 1944 to November 24, 1946. Fortunately his German heritage kept him out of the European theater. On February 2, 1947 Walt commanded studies at Pepperdine College. Even at an early age, she also wrote that Walt was always searching for truth and spiritual knowledge.

Walt Walter graduated from Pepperdine College in the same year he married Lorraine (Cookie). He majored in Art Education and minored in Religion. He went to UCLA and received his secondary teaching credential. After that he used all of his GI Bill when he decided to go to the Los Angeles Art Center.

He worked enthusiastically in advertising for many years. The work included photography, illustration, brochures, layouts, and lettering. In 1972 he decided to seek a Masters in Fine Arts at Fresno State.

After Walt retired, he began taking photographs of the Fresno Ballet Dancers. He continued photographing the Fresno ballet for the next 14 years. He often photographed one ballerina, Kelley Waddell, who is currently dancing with the American Ballet Theatre in New York City. He also photographed Maggie LeBaugh, a former dancer of the Joffery Ballet Dancers in Chicago, while she and Kelley were dancing with the Fresno Ballet. Included in this book is a photograph of Francois and Chris Doyle of the couple dancing, which was caught by Walt in a split second as they performed. GLIMPSES OF WALT

The following photos and drawings are of Walt’s physical manifestations after his passing. The drawings are Cookie’s effort to relay what she witnessed, and her artwork was inspired by Walt, including the original artwork that is seen on the book’s cover. Also included are the works of others who were inspired to create by Walt’s essence.

    Cookie, March, 2007

I awoke at 6:10 am. I stretched and looked up at the ceiling and saw a circle of light. I asked out loud, Walt, are you here? As I asked the question, I noticed the circle’s form change. A wing began to form on the left side of the circle. Once that wing was completed, a symmetrical wing began to form on the right side of the circle of light. It was beautiful. Below is a picture I drew of what it looked like when it was completed.

    003_a_kirig.jpg

    The first circle of light

    Oh Walt, are you here?

It was a matter of seconds and this awesome circle of light appeared on the wall.

Cookie witnessed and drew this shortly after Walt passed away in January, 2007.

I was away from home, doing errands. When I got back I put away the groceries and then went upstairs. Suki (our cat) has a sheet that she likes to lay on near my painting easel. It wasn’t in its usual place on the floor. Where was it? I found the sheet lying in the walkway leading into the next room. I followed the sheet, which led me to a small table. The table had a basket, TV controls, pens, and one of Walt’s note pads on it. Then I realized that there was something hand-printed on the notepad. What was it? The words printed on the notepad looked very similar to Walt’s printing. Below is a photo of what he had written:

    THE OTHER SIDE

    IT WASN’T ALL BAD

    I JUST WENT (WANT)

    TO SLEEP.

    I LOVE YOU

This event occurred in February, 2007. I had the note framed.

I often put current photos of family and friends on my refrigerator door. I noticed from a distance that something was different about my refrigerator. There was something that I had not see before—What was it? I walked closer and was surprised to see a framed saying with a bird on it. Below is what I saw attached to my refrigerator door.

The following paragraph is an excerpt from Walt’s communications that follow. His words inspired Cookie to imagine and paint the above.

"I am dancing with the light—it is so spectacular here it makes my soul soar into infinity. It embraces all of existence. The exuberance flows through my consciousness in waves. I feel like a child who has to experience everything over and over again to believe it is real—what joy—what fun—what amazing sensations all alive within my consciousness. Walter"

    BIOGRAPHY & INTRODUCTION

The messages from Walt to follow in this book have been channeled through Marilyne. Here is her background information and her own introduction.

The harsh landscape of the high desert of New Mexico, Marilyne was born in Amarillo, Texas in the early 50’s and raised in the open air of New Mexico where her interest in history, spiritualism, and anthology blossomed. In the 60’s she worked as a nurse; in the 70’s she attended New Mexico Tech and Highlands University studying science and Pre-Med. Here she married her husband and followed him into the National Park Service for twenty nine years. In the NPS her interest gravitated to SW Indians and quickly flowered into a deep respect for their connection to nature and the landscape of the high desert of New Mexico and Arizona.

During these years she collected oral histories of the Navajos, Apache, Zuni, and Acoma elders developing long term friendships with these elders and their families. During this time she concentrated on their spiritualism and oral histories writing her first book Teaching Stories of the Navajos; Right after Sundown quickly followed by Black Hactcin’s People; and Teaching Stories of the JICARILLA Apache. Next came The Center of the Earth and Water Spider; Teaching Stories of the Stories of the Zuni and Teaching Stories of the Acoma; and The Twins and the Kachinas.

By this time she had received her Masters in SW Cultural Anthropology and began her Ph. D thesis on a 1000 Year Cultural History of North Western New Mexico. Through the years her interests lay with the native populations and the way they’ve dealt with subsistence life in this high desert terrain where living is a constant struggle for the basics of survival. Here spiritualism of the people grew to explain nature and encourage the breath of life, RAIN.

Generations ago the Seneca and Seminole tribes helped open her heart to the vivid history of the SW people. She wrote and directed a series of VHS tapes on Chaco roads; All Roads lead to Chaco; A History of Acoma Potters and the Stories They Record With their Art; Apache Spiritual Tales; and Feathers in the Wind, where each of the tribes speak of their use of the El Magpies country, some in their native language, translated by their children and grandchildren.

Now she works with Arnold Walter (Walt), acting as his voice as he has passed out of the 3rd dimension into the 5th, on January 19, 2007. This incredible transmission is a result of Walt’s enthusiasm to share what he has found on the other side. It’s an act of automatic writings led by the insatiable energy that Walt displayed in the 3rd dimension. As all who knew him know, that his interests made him a true renaissance man. A man who was always asking Why and searching out the answers, acting as the catalyst for others quests.

To my reader, this is the first spiritual book—but Walt will continue on until I leave this dimension. Don’t be surprised if he chooses another to transcribe his vision—unfortunately I am dealing with many health challenges to focus my entire time on transcribing his vision.

THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN THIS WORK. Marilyne

MARILYNE’S INTRODUCTION TO WALT AND COOKIE

    December 26, 2009

I feel I need to explain how I met Walt and Cookie (Lorraine) Walter to accompany this spiritual text. I met them when I was an instructor at NMSU, for the elder hostel program. Having been a 13 year resident of Chaco Canyon, where I worked for the National Park Service, I taught the section on the Native American’s of Cibola and San Juan county of New Mexico, including the Ancient Puebloan’s of Chaco Canyon, Zuñi’s and Aroma and their spiritualism and use of ceremonies to honor the creator throughout the year and their use of kivas and the Kachinas’ and their nemesis, the Navajos and Apache.

Walt sat up at the front of the 50 students where he immediately started asking questions that revealed he had done research on this era. This led quickly to other questions. I was thrilled as an instructor, recognizing that this gained the interest of all the other participants. Once we began walking at Chaco, through the largest pueblo, Pueblo Bonito, he continued to ask even more in depth questions that fed the other class members to ask further questions. As we sat in the great kiva at Casa Rinconda we discussed the use of kivas in pueblo life, and that all current pueblos still have kivas that are used by clans for religious and ceremonial purposes.

On the long ride back to Grants, Walt approached me in the back of the bus, introducing himself. We quickly connected as students of culture and spirituality. After that, he and his wife returned to New Mexico for later programs where I took the future classes to Zuni, Laquna, Acoma and Window Rock.

When you meet likeminded individuals a deep and lasting friendship develops, which in our case lead to a nineteen year pen pal correspondence that established his avid interest in non-denominational religion and spiritualism. It was during this time that I saw his commitment to learning about the cultures of the world, spiritualism and the connections they all have to the most grounding force of all, LOVE.

Walt was a unique man. Never afraid to question the status quo, always seeking the possibilities that exist between legend and science. He was a scholar who wrote his discoveries in a journal that covers decades and reviews of many ageless books. As an artist of renown, he kept this time to himself as he allowed his mind to rove the possibilities of life and spiritual connections. He allowed his spirit permission to embrace all the potentiality of nature, history and life.

As a teacher he encouraged all to follow and discover this for themselves. As a trusted friend, he acted as a friend should, bravely willing to discuss the depths of faith. He was a man who saw a glass half full of potentials and alternatives.

Cookie’s communication from Walt, through Marilyne, following his unexpected death on January 19, 2007.

    COMMUNICATIONS WITH WALT FROM BEYOND

    2/11/07

MARILYNE:      My 80 year old pen pal, Walt (Arnold) Walter who passed on January 19th, 2007, has contacted me from the other side; see our first communication below. Also, Cookie, Walt’s wife of over 56 years , told me that Walt had also contacted her and she was positive that he is thrilled with his perception of his current journey.

                                Marilyne

    2/14/07

    MARILYNE:      Walt, are you here?

WALT:                 Of course darling, although in this new dimension there is no real substance—it all exists in a non-dimensional swirl—beautiful in its joyful excitement—a place that flows in harmonic wholeness never imagined or visualized in physical life. I find myself excited and giddy to explore the possibilities, yet missing the grounding that I had before with Cookie and friends like you. I want to share this experience with everyone in the 3rd dimension but recognize the boundaries that keep the 3rd dimension inaccessible to me now. But that is okay—because I was ready for this transition thanks to Muriel, Sam and EC (Edgar Cayce) and my other guides.

MARILYNE:      I’m happy you’ve joined the celebrated heavenly core.

WALT:                Core or not, they represent the most gracious reality I’ve ever been involved with. And this period is fluid with learning, not answers but the limitless possibilities of being and the cosmos. Remember always to be good to yourself and let love be your guide. In gaping wonder, I embrace your spirit. Your friend always, Walt

    2/14/07

MARILYNE:      Are you here today Walt?

WALT:                I’m dancing with the light—it s so spectacular here it makes my soul soar into infinity. It embraces all of existence. There is no way to describe all I’m learning now. The exuberance flows through my consciousness in waves. The only way to describe it is by comparing it to the scalar wave as described by Valerie Hunt in Mind Mastery Meditations for The Infinite Mind. This electronic field expands by folding inward with each moment, expanding outward like the rays of the sun in the same microsecond. It’s all inclusive, amplifying in all directions. While simultaneously reversing its energy, like a balloon when it suddenly deflates and floats to the ground, loosening tight muscles and connective tissue while expanding the space between cells as it deflates. I feel like a child who has to experience everything over and over again to believe it is real. What joy—what fun—amazing sensations all alive within my consciousness now.

    MARILYNE:      Are you alone there?

WALT:                No. There are billions of others also exploring this dimension—all enjoying this moment. While many don’t understand what has happened to themeveryone is thrilled with the mental sensations. Excitement fills the entire space.

MARILYNE:        Are you surrounded by many species, races, colors, sounds, music?

WALT:                 One of the misconceptions of the 3rd dimension is that everything that exists in the 3rd dimension will be here, but instead everything that has ever existed or will exist in the entire universe is here, thriving together in revolving spheres of energy that feeds the soul.

The colors are riveting, deeper, more vibrant and alive, and more brilliant than ever imagined. As an artist I’m thrilled to experience colors that are original and more deeply felt than ever before. Feeling color, tasting energy flowing through the spiritual soul, embracing all is healing, purifying to the mind and its essencealmost overwhelming unless I keep my heart child-likelaughing in gleeful delight at the glory of the creator in his essence.

As for sound, the heavenly orchestra combines the sweetness of mist in the rain forest, to the gentle flowing of a spring, to the surging power and exuberance of Mozart’s Concerto’s or Beethoven’s robust marches, combined with the thrill of a soprano’s operatic solo, or a tenors range deepening to a base tremor that draws the entire chorus to a whispering swan song.

    3/26/07

    MARILYNE:

                                Dear Cookie:

I find myself thinking of you daily, but because of the meds I’ve been placed on I find my days cut up between sleeping approximately 78% of the time or traveling to doctor’s offices. Thus, my free time for writing letters or even calling friends is diminished. I’ve found I’m apologizing often that I’m not for following through with well meant plans to call you at least once a week.

I pray you’re surrounded by loving friends and family. Know I’m with you in spirit as I think of you as healthy and dealing with the loss of your life long companion and friend, Walt.

I know I miss his surprise calls where he shared his perceptions and insights of his journey in this dimension. His humor and irony, his incredible perceptions into religion, medicine, and his unending curiosity and reading interests. I know, if I’m missing his sharing of books, etc. that he found interesting but wise, these feelings must be more acute for you. Even though we both know he is in a more intellectual realm where he thrives, he still remains close to us, and thus a loss.

On the back of this letter is a copy of his contact with me. I know you will recognize his unique speech mannerisms in describing his present situation. I’ve also had a dream in which he was dancing and celebrating his discovery of the joy he has found in the omnipresent reality he now finds himself embracing, (something that eluded him except in his powerful meditations while earthbound).

Enjoy the coming spring. I pray you have time to heal and have the support of your daughter and grandchildren. Continue to see the silver lining in each day. You are my inspiration.

                                Love you! Marilyne

    3/26/07

MARILYNE:       Walt I’m sharing this with Cookie, your friends, as well as the groups you’ve been a member of for years. If you would prefer we keep this to ourselves—let me know. Like Cookie, I feel you wanted us to share this new dimensional shift with those who have opened their minds and hearts enough to embrace your new residence that your communicating from, through me. Let us know.

WALT:                 That is why I’m here, to prove that once the dimensional shift occurs the energy of the soul isn’t diminished, but rather refocused and enhanced onto deeper and deeper realms never imaged in the physical.

The denseness of the physical mind and body keeps the essence un-known to most who look into these celestial chambers. Once here, most souls quickly release their memory of the 3rd realm, exchanging it for the bubbling energy encountered here.

MARILYNE:       Thank you, Walt for sharing your new journey. Cookie and I send you our love. Marilyne

WALT:                 As for LOVE, I’ve now found the true definition of the word is dynamic, depending on the sincerity of the writer or speaker.
