It’s the first snowfall of winter, and Frank and Joe Hardy have built an awesome snowman. The only problem is, their snowman is too huge to move, so they can’t enter it in a competition at the park. But when the boys wake up the next day, their snowman is missing. And when they get to the park, they get another surprise: Their snowman has reappeared and won first prize—but someone else is taking credit. Now Frank and Joe have to prove that they made the snowman—and put the deep freeze on a major phony!

It’s Career Week at Bayport Elementary, and Frank and Joe’s school assembly turns up some interesting guests. One student’s uncle is an animal trainer who brings a chimpanzee. Another girl’s father is an anthropologist who brings in a mask decorated with feathers and shells from a Pacific island. But when the assembly is interrupted by a fire drill, the mask is stolen—and the Hardys spring into action.

Frank and Joe are going on a weekend camping trip with their friend Chet Morton and his family, but once they set up camp, strange things start to happen. The boys see a slimy, black tentacle slithering into the water. Could it be a relative of the Loch Ness Monster?

A theme park called Dragon Days has opened, and Frank, Joe, and Chet can’t wait to get there. First they try their hand at a cool game called the Sword in the Stone. Whoever pulls out the blade becomes King for a Day. All hail King Chet—now he just has to deliver the sword to the Dragon Days sheriff to claim his crown. But suddenly a mysterious person in a black cloak steals the sword! Will they be able to catch the cloaked culprit in time for Chet to enjoy his prize?

Could there be a pirate treasure buried in Bayport? Captain Sid, the owner of a souvenir shop, says there is. When Frank, Joe, and Chet meet Sid on their way to go sailing, he tells them about a pirate ship that sank off the coast of Bayport four hundred years ago. As the boys head to the boat, they find a strange silver coin on the ground...then an old bottle with a treasure map inside...then a rusty musket ball—the kind pirates used in battle! Could Captain Sid have been right about the shipwreck? Frank and Joe are baffled, and it won’t be smooth sailing until they figure out this whale of a mystery

Bayport Elementary School is holding a science fair, and first prize is a gift certificate to a cool store called The Nature Place. The Hardys have projects only detectives could dream up—a fingerprint collection and a special spy-scope. Chet’s working on a hot dog cooker powered by the sun, and Mike Mendez is putting a camera in one of his robots to make it a burglar detector. But when two of the best projects get smashed, bully Zack Jackson blames Billy McGee, the new kid in the fourth grade. Billy can be clumsy, but is he really a walking natural disaster? The robot?s eye never lies, but will that be enough to save the science fair?

It’s not easy playing hockey when you can barely skate. But Frank and Chet are determined to keep Joe on the team. Even after Joe accidentally slams a slap shot straight into Jamie, a star figure skater. Jamie’s furious. Then she accuses Joe of stealing her good luck charm, a fuzzy white seal. Joe and Frank are determined to find the mascot—and the thief. If they don’t, Jamie can’t skate—and Joe’s in the penalty box for good!

Frank and Joe are determined to be good sports, but there’s plenty of foul play. First Brett finds gum on his brake pad. Then somebody messes with Joe’s bike seat. Who’s behind the nasty tricks? Frank and Joe gear up to find out—before the big bike race ends in a big disaster!

That’s what the Hardy boys and Chet are doing—and they are positive they’re going to win…until their recipe vanishes! Frank and Joe are learning some awesome moves in karate class. But somebody steals Brian Ludlow’s black belt signed by action-movie hero Jimmy Han. Brian even promised to bring Jimmy to class, but now he says, “No way!” But maybe if the Hardys can find the belt, they’ll be the true-blue action heroes of the day!
- The Gross Ghost Mystery
Frank Hardy is nine, and Joe is eight years old, and they’re the new kids on the block in Bayport. Searching a spooky old house for a baseball mitt, the boys find a skeleton, a brain, and blood—creepy clues to an intriguing mystery!
