DEDICATION
I dedicate this book to my mother Pastor (Mrs) Clara Osarugue Ebagua for hours spent travailing in fasting and prayers for my siblings and myself against all the fiery darts of the enemy. I honour you mum, I love you and I bless you for being a watchman
over your home. Thank you for not abandoning us despite the ridicule, pain and rejection you faced. Among many caring and capable mothers you exceed them all.
I also wish to dedicate this book to all the Hannah’s who have gone the extra mile and done the ridiculous to enable sons and daughters of God to birth their dreams; as well as the Esther’s who against all odds have pressed in and prevailed in prayers to see the purpose of God fulfilled in the lives of God’s children.
Finally and foremost, I dedicate this book to my Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ my redeemer and mediator. Your obedience and the price you have paid has made me a partaker of your power and authority. I love you and the throne of my heart is fully yours for ever.

Also my appreciations to Bishop Gabriel Imoisi, a vessel used to bring me to the Lord, who first recognised God’s hand upon my life and ordained me for service by the grace of God. Deaconess Mrs Nosa.L. Aladeselu PhD and Mrs Grace Edoimioya, for those seeds of prayers sown, they are deeply engraved in my memory. Eternity will reveal all your spiritual impact in people’s lives and you will be greatly rewarded.

INTRODUCTION
Life is full of challenges but it is only through diligence and God’s guidance that we can break through. These challenges are not incidents of chance. There is a purpose for everything we go through in life. Some individuals face challenges and become totally discontented, while others may sit and sigh in despondency and regret. On the other hand others face the same challenges and smile through it. As it is often said while lemon is turned into lemonade for some, others see it as a sour piece of fruit. This is a matter of perspective. The answers to handling challenges in life are what many are seeking all the time.
I have come to realise that we can moan all day but the situation will not change. Discouragement is a bi- product of moaning and it definitely weakens the heart and may lead to sickness. I have identified many things which often plague us and they are so close to home. A look at one of God’s masterpiece: ‘woman’ has provided an insight into the cure or recipe for success. As the name of Eve depicts, the woman is a life giver. Womanhood is synonymous with endurance, determination and resilience. These attributes, often times ensure that the woman succeeds and prevails in tough circumstances. Women in history like Joan of Arc, Mary Seacole, and Florence Nightingale all exhibited courage, resilience, persistence and endurance. Their passion to bring about change has given them a distinguished position in the annals of courageous women.
The labour ward is a battle field where the woman excels over a lot of prevailing evil forces which often takes the life of many women. Even money has not been able to aid the noblest women of means when faced with such great challenges. However resilience, endurance and determination mingled with the grace of God have enabled women both rich and poor to defeat this valley of death where new life is birth.
God gave a woman a womb which breeds, nurtures, protects and then births. So the woman possesses that ability to PUSH until destinies are birth. In the words of Bonnie Chavda:
A woman’s physiology reflects her spiritual destiny to bring forth and to defend life. Woman is designed by God to nurture, surround, protect, counsel, companion and empower
It is therefore pertinent that pressing in to protect our family’s hopes, dreams and destinies is the duty of the woman. Such is the driving force behind this book, to awaken women to travail in the place of prayer. Although PUSH is often used as an acronym for Pray Until Something Happens, I have to urge the believer to violently push through every barriers the enemy may put on the believer’s path which may attempt to hinder him or her.
PUSH LADY PUSH is borne out of a conviction that diligent passionate prayer yields results. As you read through this book I encourage you to follow me into a journey of rediscovery. I call it rediscovery in the sense that many of us have neglected these basic principles and have become a prey for Satan, who is the originator of evil forces. PUSH LADY PUSH is inspired by my personal experience and I hope it will bless you and your loved ones, I also pray that it empowers you as you pray carefully read and learn from some of the experiences shared and hopefully apply the ideas to enable you overcome the hills, valleys and every challenge that you may encounter.
The Bible says the wise woman builds her home. (Proverbs14:1) There is no better way to build than through the medium of prayer.Actually, one of the ways of building our destiny, is by using the building block of fervent, increasing prayers. Like the virtuous woman any woman who will build a successful home, fortify her marriage and children’s destinies, must be willing to get on her knees to pray. Insurmountable challenges and struggles will crumble when she prays. There is power in prayer. Mary Queen of Scots once said:
I fear the prayers of John Knox, more than the armies of France
.
While the content of this book is directed towards ladies, the principles are helpful to any one who is keen to pray whether male or female, old or young. What is worthy of note is that when you use your voice and call out to God in prayer, it provokes Satan but it gladdens our God. You will discover in this book emphasis on using the word of God as you pray, this is recommended because God’s attention is always drawn towards His words from the bible. God tells us in the bible that He honours His word above His name. I have also included some prayer points, these are to help those who are learning the art of prayer formulate and present their prayers before God; I admonish you not to restrict yourself to repeating these legalistically when you pray because prayer is communication with your God. Speak to God about those pressing issues you alone know about. You know where the shoe hurts, that is what you share with God in prayer.
Chapter One
THE POWER OF PRAYER
Prayer is the key that opens the door to the throne of God. God’s integrity will not allow Him forget His promises. He said when we call, He shall answer. Prayer is that energy which allows Christians to wear the armour and wield the sword. Every fervent prayer is answered. As soon as you pray, a file is opened. Our prayers go up to God as a sweet smelling savour and God collects them in vials. Prayer gives us access to heaven’s resources. It changes the position of anyone willing to go on bended knees. It shapes the future and destiny of those who pray, God has given us the keys (Matthew 16:19).These offer us the privilege of choosing how our lives, our family members lives and our community at large will turn out.
Prayer is that aspect of spiritual life where the more you pray the better it gets and so I say a lot of prayers is always better to keep you attuned to the plans of God for your life. The victory you achieve, whenever you pray in the time of despair is like ploughing the ground. It is a common cliché in the secular world that when the going gets tough the tough gets going but among Christians we say when the going gets tough, the tough get praying.
I was introduced to praying at a very early age. My parents travelled abroad to the United Kingdom to study in the 1960s, so most of my early childhood was spent with my maternal grandma and grandpa who were Christians and were of the Church Missionaries Society sect (CMS). I remember being woken up as a 5yr old at 6am in the morning. Even babies were lifted up from sleep. Such was the extent to which my grand parents esteemed prayer. It didn’t matter if you were a guest every one had to wake up to pray. Looking back in hindsight, I can now appreciate the simplicity of our lives then and the grace we enjoyed.
Prayer gives us the privilege of tapping into the grace of God and allows us to store up seeds of grace which deliver us from impending dangers or spiritual warfare that we may never know about.
At the age of six, there was Civil war in my country. On one of the days when fighting occurred between the Federal and the Biafra Rebel troops, there had been blaring gunshots all day and there was hardly any one along the streets, my uncles and distant cousins were hidden in the roof so as not to be enlisted by the rebel army. It suddenly became quiet in the neighbourhood
