About this ebook

Think about how much safer and relaxed you would feel if you knew what to expect from a relationship-before you got into one.

In this book I lay open my experiences from what I feel God revealed to me about falling in love. A thriving growing relationship which enters into marriage waits within these pages.

Where hands are still held within the revealed depths of love long after courtship, there is stability in behavior which promotes consistent growth. As the bridegroom rejoices in His bride, so does the Lord rejoice in you. At last a pattern to behold and live for a full life.

    A Part of Marriage

    Through the Eagle’s Eye

    Wise Endings

    Ode to Those Who Seek

    Seal of Approval

This book is dedicated to my Lord Jesus Christ and my wife, who both taught me how to love interchangeably.

If we were to take a look at a picture of how love came together, from an eternal perspective. One where two souls, between a man and a woman, became joined naturally; the way God intended it to be. What would we see?

I lay open my heart in metaphor, poetry and insights as to how I sought love; fell in love, and then finally how I became adjoined to it in marriage.

Here is an encapsulated view of how I sought to capture my butterfly while keeping my eyes on the image of love, Jesus Christ, along my journey.

As I kept my eyes on love, I grew to take on His properties. This established me within a pattern, to be sewn into the most effectual position, for the use of my life.

Here is a story of how God gave me sight to see her and some notes I took within the voyage of being truly joined to someone who was growing in the same direction. I will now let the notes speak for themselves, to tell the story of how my butterfly and I came to be.

    1-

The most amazing thing happened to me a few months ago. I had become so accustomed to seeing butterflies with their wings pinned, attached by so many distractions, tangents from their focus, which is to love the truth from an eternal perspective. That when I finally saw one that was free, with colors of warmth and love and joy, I was left in awe.

    2-

I left it free to wait and see if it would come to me. Setting about on my routine in quiet prayer I asked, Lord if this is the one for me bring us together within Thy sight. I asked my butterfly a question, but beyond the question came forth a Spirit as a drink offering, with waters of truth. So clear they were that it bore witness of the truth within my own soul. The net had come down from heaven as I said, I love you Shirley Butterfly. And I love you too was her response to me. Now in the garden of the flowers we soar. Learning from the reflections of each other before God, I gather notes, for a better picture of love.

    3-

Walking around in the dark I contained the light from within. A seed I bore. Carried it to full term, now as a tree of truth something was missing, as I had needs. A dancer in love she fluttered about my flowers of life and I took notice of this special butterfly. Softly she melted me from within, as she collected the nectar from the flower of my heart. Now the fruit will come, as in God’s design: He makes all things beautiful.

    4-

My butterfly, I watched her colors for another day. All at once she found me, as I had left the door open to my soul. In through my eyes she fluttered, now enraptured I became one with her beauty. Drunk in her loveliness, feeling safe from its warmth, I further let her find her way to my heart and as discovered treasure it multiplied as she became a part. She has found her flower and I my butterfly.

    5-

I searched high and low, through mountains and valley’s, across streams and fields, meadows and woods. Rivers of time, during day and into night, but when her eyes met with mine, I knew she bore the truth for I and for the hope of the family.

    6-

I fought hard in battle: Swinging both edges of the sword, I made written plans of attack. Then as I faced my opponent I saw that butterfly was not there. With tears in my eyes and only the courage that she helped me to see, buried truth from within my soul, I faced the dragon of discouragement till it ran away. A lass where is butterfly? She is no where to be found. Perhaps I’ll see her on the morrow, for as my heart grows cold, I know that I can only pray.

    7-

Fairest of lips has my butterfly, a delight to draw near and embrace; gentle, soft, warm and alive. They satisfy with each touch, that of love, each as the first from the start. Hearts now melted, we are the same, beat as one flame beats; as from the beginning we have met each time afresh from the start.

    8-

Her colors fluttered just above the ocean adding warmth, enough color to set the tone for the time of day, upon the curl of the waves. Passionate love gently awaits, knowing it wants to ravage like a storm, beneath the surface controlled. It holds back its waves upon the undertow, until SPLASH it washes upon the shore, to return again for more and more.

    9-

In the past I would have troubles drawing boundary lines. I had grown to the place where I was now a whole person, but my scars still showed in sensitivity. It took my courageous butterfly to point out to me a part of being intimate was enjoying time away from each other as well. I did not have to say yes to spending time together all the time and this would allow us to remain honest with each other. Now I would keep from bringing falsehoods into our relationship, by being real and stating that it was my hearts desire to please my butterfly, but now I am unable to please at present. This keeps me kept from building lies into our relationship; dark areas that would put out the light of our flame, where my relationship in the past would collapse from within, I am now guarded by a more complete picture of the truth.

    10-

I looked into my butterflies eyes and saw the silent snow falling within loves reflected light, before I became a man. Smashed I was from my past, into smithereens, to land upon a base, while falling through time into place. The gift of the maker was to send a butterfly, with colors
