    Introduction

This book Abundant Life in Jesus Christ will throw more light on the things you need to focus on to reach the desired destination in your life and to receive the blessings of the Lord in the land of the living. It speaks of the Bible, and the importance of knowing the Word of God, being a doer of the Word, and also building your foundation on the Rock of Ages. It will enable you to be steadfast in the Lord when the storms of life come your way.

This book talks about freeing yourself from mental poverty, refusing to be poor no matter what comes your way and standing on the Word of God no matter how horrific your situations look like. It also speaks about not limiting God by the limitations you see in yourself, but believing that everything is possible with God.

If you don’t know exactly what you are seeking for in Jesus Christ, you will never find it in Him. If you don’t know what you are supposed to do in the body of Christ, you will never execute your God given gifts, talents and rights as a believer. It is imperative as a Christian to know exactly what you are seeking for in Jesus, and what you are doing in the body of Christ.

When you go on a journey, you do not leave home without your roadmap and direction to your destination. You would do everything possible within your power to get the directions to where you are going. I must remind you, your life is like going on a long journey, and you definitely need a roadmap to your destination. You also need a light to shine your path in the dark hours of the journey.

I guess you know by now that the Bible is your roadmap, and the light is Jesus Christ. The Bible says, When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" (John 8:12, NIV).

The Bible has everything you may need or want for the journey of life. The Christ (the light of the world) in you will make your vision possible. According to Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, light means something that makes vision possible. That means without light vision will not be possible. In other words, you need Christ (the light of the world) to make your vision in you become possible. This revelation will change your life for the best if you truly understand this Divine disclosure.

I have found out that those who go on a journey without a roadmap always get lost. I have also found out that those who go on a journey without a light to shine before them during the dark hours of their passage run into destructions or into avoidable calamities.

I have noticed over the years that on a journey, things would happen that you do not have control over or do not understand why. The Bible declares, The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law (Deuteronomy 29:29). This scripture explains why there are no known answers to some of the storms in our lives.

Better yet, there is an answer to every problem on the face of the earth. The truth of the matter is - you may not have the knowledge of the answer, or God has not revealed it to you as yet, or you have not met the person who has the spiritual gift to meet your need and that is a challenge to every human being. It is amazing to know that men and women are searching and seeking for the answers in all the wrong places. And for others, they are not asking the right questions to get the right answers. Your question determines the answer.

The Bible says, My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children (Hosea 4:6). The above quoted scripture explains why there is destruction, sickness, disease, oppression, addiction, struggle, and poverty in the Church today. We need to seek after God, His knowledge, His kingdom, and His righteousness, and after that is done, the abundance in Jesus Christ will overtake us. Your life will turn around for the best if you seek after the Giver of the good things of life and not to seek after the good things of the world.

There is a highway to every destination in life, but reaching the desired destination takes faith in God, righteous living, perseverance, the Spirit of excellence, and the knowledge of the promises of the Lord upon your life.

Don’t let your situations and circumstances dictate your fate (outcome). Let your faith determines your direction and destiny. Don’t let the sayings of your enemies become your milestone, but let every Word and promises of God become your roadmap to the abundant life in Jesus Christ.

What obedience to the Holy Spirit can do in your life; your prayers cannot equal in fulfilling your requests to our Lord and Savior. The prompting of the Holy Spirit and instructions given to you by the Holy Spirit is God’s divine desire for you; your prayers are the desires of your heart. Follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit in you, and your ways will be successful. The ways of the Lord will lead you to your purpose in life and your destiny, but the ways of the world will lead you to destruction. Your miracles are dependent on your obedience to the Word of God and the prompting of the Holy Spirit, which means the Holy Spirit, will inform you through your spirit on what to do at the right time and in the right place. Obedience first and understanding will come later.

When you follow the leadings of the Holy Spirit and be a doer of the Word of God, you will know the will and purpose of God for you. When you are in His will and purpose, you will know the vision of God for you. When you know the vision of God for you, then you will supernaturally receive the divine provision for your vision and purpose. Remember that whenever there is a vision from God there is also a provision for the vision. Don’t let your past appalling encounters determine your future, but allow the Word of God in you, and the faith you have in God, and the hope in Jesus Christ determine your future. My brothers and Sisters in the Lord, refuse to be poor and dejected, because Jesus Christ of Nazareth died on the cross of Calvary and rose from the grave to declare your victory. Refuse to be weak and sick, because the Bible says, "This was to fulfill
