P. A. Cooks

Paul Cooks is a teacher, speaker, lecturer, and evangelist and has served  as an advisor, to members of his church where he served as a Deacon in Las Vegas, Nevada. His power to deliver the inspirational thoughts in his book, Making Tracks for Jesus, comes from some great reservoirs of  spiritual life or else it could not be so pertinent to our daily walks with Christ in our lives, but the majesty and beauty of the language with which he has clothed the messages contained within the words used were all his own. All of the writings have been presented by him in one way or another to inspire, heal and to meet a special need. Paul, a black baby boy was born in June, an eight pound bouncing boy, and not too soon to parents of Lonnie and Hazel Palmer Cooks. From his mom, he gets most of his good looks. He grew up in Shreveport, a Louisiana town; where he went to Stoner Hill Elementary with a frown. He made it to J.S. Clark Junior High and went from there to Valencia High, now known as Caddo Magnet where he finished. He was president of the student council and school treasurer; he graduated number three at the top of his class you see. Then on to Grambling State University, there he went so bold, striving hard to make it good was his educational goal. He makes an impression on everyone he  meets. He wanted more education, to help others he thought! So on to Louisiana University in Monroe; and nothing but education he sought.  He got his Masters Degree, a dream come true! He now resides in Las Vegas, Nevada to fulfill another dream, to inspire and give hope to others in his book, Making Tracks for Jesus!

    About The Author

Paul Cooks is a teacher, speaker, lecturer, and evangelist and has served as an advisor, to members of his church where he served as a Deacon in Las Vegas, Nevada. His power to deliver the inspirational thoughts in this book, Making Tracks for Jesus, comes from some great reservoirs of spiritual life or else it could not be so pertinent to our daily walks with Christ in our lives, but the majesty and beauty of the language with which he has clothed the messages contained within the words used were all his own.

On to Morehouse Parish, he received his first call to teach, an impression he made on everyone he would meet. He wanted more education, to help others he thought! So on to Louisiana University in Monroe; and nothing but education he sought. He got his Masters Degree, a dream come true. While working in Caddo Parish he got his thirty plus two. Workshops, seminars and conferences he did go, More knowledge and understanding, he sure did grow!

Science was his bid and he worked at it each day; waiting on some great accomplishments to come his way! From Riverside to Northside Schools he taught as he should, trying to help boys and girls the best he could. His work is education, but God and family was always on top; his worship and participation would never, never stop. At the Stoner Hill Baptist Church, he served in many capacities he loved. He continually gives praise and glory to the Lord above. He tries to sing a little at church, but writing he thirsts, between the writing and the singing, writing is his first. Politics he tried to make things right, but all was not lost in the Caddo District, he put up a good fight!

On to Las Vegas at Earnest May School he taught it all, trying to help boys and girls become ready to meet the call! Opening Wilhelm School and now at Kermit R. Booker to fulfill his task; any other goals than teaching or writing a colleague might ask. He became a member at Second Baptist and on to Greater Evergreen Church he does not sit; he is active up and down, God just will not let him quit. Paul is married to his college date, a Tallulah girl who shows her love; he hurriedly gives thanks for his wife, Irene, but first to his God above.
