    Foreword

We, the present leaders of the Congress of the Sunni Sect of Islam believe that our nonalignment and neutral status within the political party arena of these United States of America makes a statement of our notions, opinions, and political positions incumbent on us as we the people of Islam enter the twenty-first century. Our nonalignment or neutrality is necessary for our personal security because many of our business ventures depend to some degree on the good offices of the party in control of the government of these United States of America. Who are we, the leaders of the Congress of the Sunni Sect of Islam? Believe it or not, at the end of World War I when the Islamic power structure that had given aid and comfort to the Axis powers was faced with certain defeat at the hands of the Allied powers of World War I, many of the Middle Eastern Islamic power structure transferred their authority and their possessions to their black children or other black relatives and friends. The anticipated years of domination by white Western powers has ended. However during the years of domination by the white Western powers, many of the royal, noble, and affluent houses that composed the Islamic power structure that had given aid and comfort to the Axis powers of World War I have fallen in the following nations: Turkey, Lybia, Iraq, Syria, Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, and other Middle East nations before the winds of ethnic war and through other economic or political conflicts. We are members of the House of Ishmael. We are some of the surviving progeny of the Islamic power structure that gave aid and comfort to the Axis powers of World War I.

We have used the Nom de Plume Pasha Mohammed Ali Taeharah, cousin of the Sultan Abdul Hamid, in tribute to our fallen brothers and out of respect for a discipline that was our way of life, which like most of history can’t be altered by any acts done in the present. We are the House of Ishmael for whom the conflicts with other religious disciplines; the wars amongst other nations, people, places and things within our international community of nations environment have combined to shape our lives into a series of stories, incidents, and events about which we often tell our friends. We find ourselves a long way from our homeland amongst strangers who have become our friends, our relatives, and our family in this new land that we now call home. As for our relatives and our friends of a certain yesterday, who abandoned us in this foreign land, we leave you to heaven. We leave you to the mercy of our just and loving God to whom all of mankind must answer for their deeds done in this world.

Our thanks and our gratitude to Hazrat Mirza Qhulam Ahmed of Qadian of the London Mosque, who was our instructor in the philosophy of Islam. We are certain that without the gift of his knowledge and wisdom, this Introduction to Islamism of the Congress of the Sunni Sect of Islam would not have been possible.

There are moments in our lives when many events or happenings past and present that have been a part of our lives seem clear, meaningful, and worthy of being recorded for posterity. We are at a point in life where our time spent in this world in which we live is more likely greater than that which we have left to spend. It is at these special moments that we hope that our search for truth during the course of our existence here in our time and space has. resulted in some tangible contribution to the welfare and evolution of the international community. This is such a moment for us. We feel a need to leave an Introduction to Islamism that will say that we were here to our posterity. An Introduction to Islamism will comfort some of those who read it during their times of frustration, hurt, and doubt that living will certainly bring to each of them, An Introduction to Islamism that addresses some of our religious, social, and economic problems. An Introduction to Islamism that accepts once more an old and tried religious discipline that offers to the faithful a possible solution to some of mankind’s life and death dilemmas. An old religious discipline redefined and introduced in a form that acknowledges constant change affecting all things that constitute the universe of which we are a part and delineates the path that we hope has led us to our salvation. A path that is available to any individual. Within our Introduction to Islamism, we attempt to define, to illustrate, and to demonstrate some positive social, economic, and political solutions to some of life’s problems that result from the exposure of our minds and ourselves to the hostile world of fact, fiction, and fantasy in which we live.

The night cometh, Lord, a light of the world is no more, the Glory of Islam, The defender of the faith passes into eternity to be judged by Allah. and even as the advancing evening shadows of life give way to the coming darkness of the night of my life, my thoughts these days are more often than ever before turn to my children. My children who forever remind me of my beloved Jane, who was my wonderful companion for a few years during which she was sometimes my wife. For my children all of the material things, which I have had the good fortune to acquire during the course of our existence, will one day be theirs. However, I will try to give them more than material wealth. I would like to leave for them a view of a concept of an intangible something, which is for me the ultimate achievement of our existence. This once again for the first time introduction comes from my desire to strengthen their character and also to help them to sustain themselves during the trials and tribulations that shall surely come to them during their lives in this far too often cruel world. I am certain that life within the limits and boundaries of moral and ethical values that I now address for them will result in a small amount of happiness in this world as a foretaste of that which is to come. Here are my suggestions for you to consider following as part of the moral and ethical foundation on which to build your lives of your own free will; that will, if God pleased, bring each of you together again with me in the world that is to come.

We embrace old ideas, old beliefs, and fragments of history that result in magnifying the need for each of us to have a very real religious solution to the problems caused by our own existence cogito ergo sum: I think therefore I am. The real solution that we offer is a religious solution. That is prompted by the frustration that is found in the fact that we can’t create or destroy life. That is we are only a part or a parcel of the variations, configurations, or states of equilibrium of matter and energy. It is our present belief that matter and energy are the same thing. We also presently believe that matter and energy can’t be created or destroyed. Our dilemma is that mankind, body and soul, exist as a part of the universe within the presently known limits of matter and energy. We ourselves are matter and energy that is aware of itself. Our personal awareness of the universe can’t be created or destroyed. Therefore we are left with the eternal question of what happens to our indestructible personal awareness upon the occurrence of the phenomenon that we call death. This statement of our dilemma results from our lack of understanding of the ultimate link between life and death in terms of ourselves being formed of matter and energy that is aware of itself that can’t be created or destroyed. Our conclusion is that the only hope for our solving our dilemma is not in our stars but in ourselves. Each of us can determine our activities through the exercise of our free will that become a personal solution to our dilemma that may result in our personal salvation.

International tension, particularly in the Middle East, suggested to us a need for mutual understanding. We have written An Introduction to Islamism, believing that a sure cure for hatred, ignorance, and bitterness begins with knowledge, truth, and the. correct information. We saw a need for understanding among the combatants. We saw the need for another point of view regarding some religious concepts, philosophies and history that the religious faiths now in conflict have in common. We believe that this introduction when read will lessen some religious and political tensions domestically and internationally.

An Introduction to Islamism introduces the reader to the beliefs of the Congress of Sunni Sect of Islam. It furnishes an overview of basic Islamic beliefs concerning theology and history, with sweeping recommendations to improve the well-being of Muslims and others. This work expresses a very inclusive attitude toward other faiths and seeks to be a unifying influence. While recognizing the Qur’an as the ultimate authority, this book addresses contemporary issues in a modern fashion.
