    I have been writing in some form, shape or another for almost forty years, mostly poetry, but it took one woman to unleash the words that not only came from my mind, but from my heart as well. It is amazing how one person can have such an effect on another. It is a testament to the true power of love and unbridled friendship. The story told in this book is fictional, but the power of the tale and the changes that take place in the main character could not be more real. I was raised in the midwest and always thought I knew all about life. How little I really knew about life, love and friendship would not become known to me for many years. As in everyday life, we take so much for granted, but to meet such a wonderfully mysterious woman with such an electric personality and her magnetic pull and influence on everyone she touches still continues to astonish me every single day. It was the realization of the effect she had on me, as well as those around her, above all else, which made the decision to write this book even possible. If the world was populated by more people like her, they would call it heaven. I would like to take credit for this novel, but again, everything contained in these pages, is due simply because I was fortunate enough to meet her.
