God, Thank you for everything, for my loved ones and my passions, for the humbling and creative experience you have given me with this book. It was indeed a journey and I appreciate everything you have blessed me with.
I am happy for the love that I have in my life and the people who brought it to me. From knowing and understanding romantic, crazy in love love to family and friendship love, I am surrounded by an abundance of this element and several of my poems and creative energy stems from this.
I am grateful and any other synonym you can think of for what has been given to me. I want to show I am thankful not just through this book and my words but with my actions and that my life has been impacted in ways that proves God loves me.
Thank you.
MeaLee
FOREWORD
Traditionally a mixed tape is known as a collection of songs connected by a theme or a mood, or a collection of songs selected from a list of favorites and recorded onto a cassette tape. There is range in the mixed tape just as there is range in Mea’s artistic expression. You will find that there are a variety of poems lounging between the next several pages, all of which have been selected and recorded from a catalog of Mea’s favorites. Paying close attention you’ll find that most, if not all, are naturally linked by a common theme.
Whether it is loving ourselves, our origins, our companions, family, gifts, or talents, this book speaks to personal truths we all face in-and-out of love.
