I am grateful to a number of talented and visionary individuals for their assistance in completing this book. Because it is a collection of scenes written by my gifted and fabulous teen-aged acting students, I would like to thank them individually by listing their names under the scenes they wrote for this book, please note them by name as you read each scene. Many are working actors here in Hollywood. Each scene represents a chapter of their lives shared so generously with all of us and now to you. I feel this to be sacred work and I hold unconditional love for young actors so willing to reveal so much of themselves so completely. So, to each of them I am endlessly grateful. To the parents and families who provided lessons and drove them to classes and to auditions week after week to further their dreams and their careers. I wanted to thank you for your love, support, commitment to them and to our work. The young actor in Hollywood is not unlike any other teenager in America, with the same issues, the same growth patterns, the same desires and experiences. The only difference is that we hold it up to the light for all to view, on the big screen, the Television, in videos and on stage. This takes
