50 Ways to Stop Feeling Lonely or Bored and Reconnect with Life

    By:

    Waleed Abutabikh

    Introduction:

    Feeling Lonely

People feel lonely for several reasons, such as a lack of friends, being away from people they love, or feeling unwanted by people they want to make friends with. Research shows that young people who live at home without having significant relationships feel more lonely than adults who live at home alone.

Every person is different in regards to the level of relationship they seek with other people. However; regardless of the type of relationship sought by each individual, there is a certain level of communication with others that is necessary to feel comfortable and satisfied with life.

A person’s feeling of loneliness results from disconnecting with others and not having a job to do, all the while missing out on meaningful communication with others.

Feeling lonely does not result simply from being all by yourself, since one can feel lonely even in crowded places. For example, a student can feel lonely in a classroom filled with classmates. So here is the way you end up feeling:

    - Unwanted

    - Like a stranger and outsider

    - Bereft of interaction and common interests with other people.

    - Unloved

    - Misunderstood by others

    Feeling Bored

Boredom is an unstable psychological state in which a person feels troubled and has a pessimistic view of life. One can enter this state for several reasons, including: frustration, failing to achieve a goal, experiencing a series of negative situations, losing loved ones, having an unclear view
