Compassionism - Kavitha Chahel
Chapter 1:
The truth about the hurdles and the struggle zones
The struggle zones of a growing organisation are largely down to the way in which we communicate or don’t communicate. The way people speak to one another in business is often appalling. How can your business grow and thrive if the environment you have helped create is in fact toxic? When ex-employees or disgruntled customers write poor reviews of your business, just know that prospective customers and employees may very well see these reviews. It is also not that uncommon for SME’s to be heavily reliant on one customer for the majority of their income. It is a risk to do this and the need should be to expand the customer base. In doing this, remember your reputation is everything so keep your eye on the ball and get your heart involved in your business.
In order to bring more compassion into your business, it is important to identify what and where your organisation’s struggle zones are. Only then can you embark on working out what can be done about them. It is likely that you have some awareness of what these issues might be and the departments struggling the most. Just to be certain, a business consultant can really come in handy in running an unbiased audit, to help you identify the problem areas and work with you on a plan of action to fix
