      The Secret of Life - Babaji

      THE PREAMBLE

      The Universe is One Consciousness expressed as

      Freedom, Love and Peace, manifesting its essence in

      Everything in Creation.

      The Beginning of Everything is Unity

      The essential principle of the Universe is Unity.

      We have to understand it in order to realise ourselves. This Oneness manifested, whether animate or inanimate, is just the union of various elements combined to create it. All philosophical systems and religions have tried to interpret this Truth. We shall now, in simple words, try to understand it for ourselves.

      The Law of Unity and Oneness

      The Law of Unity or Oneness states that everything that exists emanates from One and the Same Oneness. This is the Source of Creation from which everything in the Universe is created. This Unity or Oneness from which everything emanates is an Eternal and Unchanging Unified Field of Supreme Intelligence permeating this Universe as Creation. Thus, this law can also be called the Law of Divine Unity or Oneness.

      Since everything emerges from this Unity and Oneness, and because this underlying field permeates all the Manifested and Un-manifested, the Law also implies that everything that exists and is yet to exist is connected to everything else.

      Understanding the Law of Unity and Oneness

      Everything in this Universe, whether animate or inanimate, is connected to everything else as One. Owing to your limited understanding and vision, you look at things as distinct and separate from each other but that is not so. Even though each of us is experiencing our own Illusion of Reality, based on the genotype of our programmed DNA as well as the phenotype of the effects of the environment on our genes, it gives rise to our conditioning and reactive mechanisms which dictate the choices that we make in our lives.

      But the Truth is we are all One. And the choices that each of us makes, maintains the balance and equilibrium of the Universe in its Unity. We are all the same, complementing each other’s lives and completing the Whole. Just like the skin cells in our body. The cells keep regenerating, with two million cells dying every day, so that in five months the skin has completely regenerated itself. All the skin cells, when looked under the miscroscope, are separate and loose but bound together by an attractive Power which makes the skin appear uniform and
