- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Summary of lessons: "Play hard to get"
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Interesting argument that people buy into a sales pitch at an emotional level, rather than a rational/intellectual level. Oren tells way too many random stories from his own sales pitches, but the general content is worthwhile.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5wonderful read. I was at the edge of my seat throughout the book. lots of lessons learnt that I intend to apply.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5a good read for everyone. must read the book. loved it
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5interesting topic and easy to follow strategies. it needs more examples and scenarios
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Pitch Anything is the perfect mix of concept, cases and cognitive theory. Klaff knows his craft from first-hand experience, and the written text is as compelling as he likely is when in person, in the moment. What I most appreciate about this book is the underlying foundation Klaff lays out, based on how our brains actually work. However, he quickly moves into applying the principles. As I read, I kept thinking about the TV show Shark Tank. The most successful pitches seem to follow distinct elements outlined in this book - the ones that win and the ones that at least keep from getting sideways. This is one of those books you need to read and then quickly start practicing. I highly recommend it, but maybe it's not right for you.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book! Recommended for everyone who is involved in business conversation
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The author is a middle school bully stuck in the body of an old business man. Apparently, all that matters to him are displays of power (which will always come off as rude, regardless how much the author emphasizes that it won't be the case), and his anecdotes manage to perfectly display his inferiority complexes (a waiter stealing his show at the restaurant, ostracizing him... All I can say here is "bruh"). Apart from the blatant jock attitude that probably stems from not having any true friends in his life, some other points he makes about actual pitching are actually quite good.
