Chapter 1 – The Essence of a Low-Carb Diet and Fat Bombs
It is easy to make fat bombs. After you have tried certain recipes, you can make your own combinations and come up with even more variety of these healthy treats.
What is a fat bomb? It is a small treat, usually in size of a small ball, but can also be served in squares or in other shapes, depending on the molds that you use. The treat is low in carbs and high in concentrated and healthy fat. The recipes typically contain more than 85 percent of fat. Flavoring and specific fats are used in the process, such as butter, mascarpone cheese, Neufchatel cheese, cream cheese, coconut oil, and coconut butter.
You can eat this whenever your body needs to get recharged, as a snack, breakfast, or after doing a tedious activity. Fat bombs are suited for any low-carb diet, such as ketogenic and paleo. They have the healthy fat that your body needs to stay in ketosis. The best thing about these treats is that they taste good and won’t make you feel that you are being deprived.
Here are some of the important things that you need to remember about fat bombs:
1. They contain a huge percentage of healthy fats, most of which solidifies fast when chilled or refrigerated. This is the reason the treats are not messy to prepare and consume despite the fats that they
