Reviews for Everyday Discoveries

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This book sounded really great, but it ended up being a lot of preschool activities without a lot of content. Here's a random example I opened to- make popcorn, give it four different toppings, have the kids try it, and graph their favorites. Things like "Encourages children's curiosity about different toppings." do not meet any content standards I have heard of (including preschool standards). If this had been labeled "preschool activities" on the cover, I wouldn't have gotten it (it was on someone's swap list and sounded really neat). I'm mostly disappointed because it sounded really great, but it's not applicable for even kindergarten for the most part.
