Introduction
Families are the unit of the society; great families result in great societies. Change begins right at home. If we intend to contribute to the development of our nation, then we should start from the people within our direct control—our family.
The struggle to groom responsible, brilliant and respectful children is real. It’s never an easy journey. How will parents do and be their best? What does a successful parent do differently? And how can we get it right as parents? Every parent desires to live a balanced life; to excel at work, be the best spouse and be 100% available for their kids. Is this desire attainable?
YES IT IS.
With you in mind, I have intelligently written Promoting Student Success.
I was a victim of constant academic failure in my teen years. In a class of fifty students, my end of the term academic position would be forty-nine out of fifty. Each time I watch other students celebrate their good grades, I fall into utter despair. I wonder if we descend from the same universe. I regularly asked myself would I ever excel like other students?
Perhaps, you are asking the same question concerning your child.
At some point, I had to quit school because I lost interest. But thanks to my parents who encouraged me not to give up.
They said, You will never become a failure in life until you stop trying.
Hearing this inspiring word, I was determined to excel in all aspects of life. Parents, I clearly understand the frustration of being bottom of the class. However, I pulled through mainly because of my supportive parents. Today, I am an author, advisory to business leaders, parents coach and founder of child initiatives. That is why I offer you practical insights and real life instances of how to be the best parent to your child.
Your child is priceless, and deserves to get the best from you. How would you feel in the next 30 years, if your child becomes the reputable man or woman you wished for? How would you feel to watch your child accomplish their dreams? You will definitely feel fulfilled.
Therefore, never give up on your child. Although your child may start small doesn’t mean he or she is an average student. We cannot use their current academic performance to judge their future. Inside your child lies hidden potentials and greatness. Don’t focus on their weaknesses rather their unique strengths. I have this confident that, if I can succeed despite my initial limitations your child has a bright
