Under the Sun: A Traditional View of Ancient History
()
About this ebook
Civilizations all over the earth share architecture, building methods and materials, knowledge of astronomy, layout of cities, and even worship the same gods and goddesses by various names. Human civilization began as unified culture at Babel. Secular Humanism is incorrect with its belief that these people were incapable of advanced technology. Believers in ancient astronauts are closer to the truth, but the Scriptures unmask these creatures as unclean spirits or demons, not friendly, helpful visitors from other planets.
Secular Humanists acknowledge the problems with the conventional Egyptian dating scheme (CC or Conventional Chronology), but reject the solutions provided by the Flood and the Exodus.

Introduction
This book is a companion to and continuation of Disestablish. Together they function as brief overviews, summaries, or abstracts for the books in the Antidisestablishmentarianism and Conflict of the Ages series. The overall purpose of all these works is to disestablish Secular Humanism as an Establishment of Religion. Full citations are in the original works.
Antidisestablishmentarianism is the introduction to the Conflict of the Ages series. Antidisestablishmentarianism is also available as four individual books of about two hundred fifty printed pages each. Appendix material is repeated in each, and the original illustrated volume is about eight hundred fifty printed pages.
1. What is An Establishment of Religion?
2. What is Secular Humanism?
3. What is Science?
4. What are the Results of Secular Humanism?
Each of the Conflict of the Ages modules in the series is in chronological order.
The Conflict of the Ages I: The Scientific History of Origins
The Conflict of the Ages II: The World That Was and the Origin of Evil
The Conflict of the Ages III: They Deliberately Forgot: The Flood and the Ice Age
The Conflict of the Ages IV: Ice Age Civilizations
The Conflict of the Ages V: The Ancient World
These modules of The Conflict of the Ages series are available as separate teacher editions for each of the five volumes as well as a combined volume for modules 1-3. The student editions are available in five separate modules.
The Conflict of the Ages series is intended to be a comprehensive overview of history. At this time it includes Creation through the Ice Age plus the rise of ancient civilizations. The individual student modules cover
1) world literature appropriate for the time period covered,
2) the science to provide the student with the information to answer skeptics,
3) Scriptural foundations,
4) vocabulary, and
5) review questions.
These five modules are more than a thousand print pages, though more than half of the material is either appendix or introductory material. While it is not difficult for a parent/teacher to reduce the amount of material, it is very difficult for a parent/teacher to spend time researching to find missing or incomplete material. So our goal is to be as complete as possible. At the same time, the complete series is still nothing more than an overview for a very complex subject.
The following organizations provide more detailed information: Answers In Genesis, Creation Ministries International, the Institute for Creation Research, the Creation Research Society, and True Origins. This is not an exhaustive list.
The overall size of this series makes grasping the material difficult. This book, designed to update readers with a continuing overview through the material covered in Conflict of the Ages V, The Ancient World, is an attempt to summarize the entire series for the average reader. It will not attempt to cover the assumptions, nor will it defend the positions presented. The documentation, assumptions and defenses are found in the original works.
Part One: Creation To Flood
IN THE BEGINNING
THERE WAS NOTHING.
FOR NO REASON,
NOTHING EXPLODED.
THEN THERE
WERE DINOSAURS.
The Cosmos is all that is or was or every will be.
Carl Sagan
Yet the same man who said this also said,
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
Carl Sagan
Later on, there was another festival of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Near the Sheep Gate in Jerusalem is a pool called Bethesda in Hebrew. It has five colonnades, and under these a large number of sick people were lying—blind, lame, or
