Pheromones mingle with a spicy sandalwood fragrance and leather, an aromatic aphrodisiac. The scent floats over the draft of the front door opening, intoxicating and inviting every member and guest into the realm of Nexus.

Their rhythmic tempo of music laces with moans of pleasure, creating an irresistible cadence that tempts one to grind into another. Bodies tangle together seeking their next high.

Isaac Jameson built these walls around his dream. A place where people can be free to explore their sexuality and desires in a safe environment. He developed the structure, but it’s the people who create the atmosphere of acceptance, love, and belonging.

Out in the world, many would be ridiculed, disowned, and shunned for their sexual proclivities. But here at Nexus, they are accepted and treated with the respect they deserve.

To the close-minded, peering into Nexus through their opaque looking glass, they see heathens, degenerates, and deviants not worthy of a place in their pristine world. However, they fail to recognize the upstanding citizens they’re neighbors with, work beside each day, and those that have possibly saved their life. Doctors, lawyers, bankers, teachers, business owners, police officers, and countless others. Though the resident Nexus police officer is not currently here.

Pat still working nights? Leo calls out to the group, while his sub, Gina, sits gracefully at his feet.

It’s been weeks, Deb replies, sinking further into the crook of Derek’s arm, burrowing into his side. After having breakfast with him, Derek goes to work and I take the twins over to Mom’s to give him some peace and quiet to sleep.

"Budget cuts have gutted public service. Do more with less people," Derek chimes in. I’ve got cases that have a two-year waiting period before they will go to trial because the caseload is so heavy.

Have the babies adjusted to you going back to work? Gina inquires.

They’re doing great. Me? Not so much. I’m only working a couple hours a week, but I’m exhausted. Yesterday, I dropped my pen on the floor, reached down to pick it up and realized I was wearing two different shoes, Deb sighs with defeat.

The guys don’t see the big deal, but Gina and Katherine commiserate with her embarrassment.

With this gorgeous body, no one’s looking at your shoes, Derek gives Deb a squeeze, placing a tender kiss on her lips. A kiss that soon devours her like a starving beast, leaving the onlookers with no doubt he desires the mother of his babies.

Who’s taking Pat’s place tonight and locking up? Isaac barks at the group. I got a raging hard dick and a wife with a sassy mouth.

I’ll do lock up. Gina and I have some training to work on. Don’t we, sub?

Leo casts his gaze down to Gina and sees the flicker of apprehension across her face. She knows what’s coming and she’s not too thrilled about it.

Edging – Gina has a love/hate relationship with it and Leo is the Master. Tease and tease and tease until she can’t take it anymore. Then he pushes her farther. Pushing her until her body slickens with perspiration and trembles with need. But when she finally reaches the precipice of release, stars burst behind her eyes. An exuberant splendor of which she has never experienced before her Master’s introduction. Love ~ Hate.

Detective Patrick Donovan camouflaged by the darkness in his black Ford Interceptor SUV. To the average citizen, it looks like a blacked-out SUV, but the Interceptor is far more advanced than its civilian counterparts. Modified for speed and protection.

Patrick waits alone while an unmarked cruiser stakes out the other side of this dated motel, with outside doors to each room lined up like dominoes. The solo assignment coupled with the boredom of the night, make the minutes tick off like molasses.

Patrick has this particular motel under surveillance as a possible dwelling for prostitution and drugs. Prostitution is in every city and it’s prevalent in Atlanta. But this stake out is a little different than most. His focus is manufacturing and distribution. If there’s no product, there’s no solicitation. Pat’s not naïve. He’s well aware of the widespread abuse of drugs. It has reached epidemic levels. But shutting down one operation is at least one less operating on the streets. Prostitution, however, is linked to other crimes besides drugs.

The FBI contacted the Atlanta Police Department to notify them of an investigation they’re conducting in the area involving human trafficking. They asked for local police assistance in keeping an eye open for potential victims during their own prostitution stings. They included local statistics in their media junket.

Human trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, or harboring of persons by threat of force or other forms of coercion, for the intent of exploitation. Exploitation includes sex, forced labor, or servitude. Human trafficking is slavery in the 21st century.

Millions of men, women, and children are trafficked each year in countries around the world, including the United States. Human trafficking generates billions of dollars each year and is second only to drug trafficking. Human trafficking is a crime hidden among us, as victims rarely come forward due to fear of repercussions.

Traffickers use force, fraud, and coercion to manipulate their victims. They use tactics such as beatings, sexual abuse, food and sleep deprivation, isolation, and threats to family and loved ones. They prey on people with physical and emotional vulnerabilities, economic hardships, during natural disasters, and political uprisings.

Victims of human trafficking can be found in the sex trade; including prostitution, strip bars, and sex clubs. They’re also found within domestic servitude, as well as factory and agricultural work.

Every state has laws pertaining to human trafficking, but they’re skewed and vary from state to state, as well as differ from Federal laws, making prosecution difficult. Most state laws have protection and help for minors, however in some states, there’s a gap of protection between minors and adult victims.

Sexual servitude/prostitution is one of the largest and most profitable facets of human trafficking. Not all prostitutes are victims of human trafficking, but many are. Unfortunately, some lawmakers see all adult prostitution as a choice made by the adults. They view it as an immoral life choice. They don’t consider that the adult has been confined to prostitution since they were a child. They just see the immorality of it.

The Atlanta International Airport is a hub for travel from all over the world. This, coupled with several major interstates, makes the city very attractive to business and commerce. Easy access for importing and exporting. And because of its ready access to commercial air and ground routes, Atlanta also entices criminals engaged in human trafficking.

Atlanta ranks in the top ten cities for human trafficking and near the top of the list for the sex trafficking of children. But the sex trade industry in Atlanta brings in nearly 300 million dollars a year. Craigslist is a major medium for the advertisement of sex, as well as all forms of social media.

On average, 100 adolescent girls are sexually exploited each night in Atlanta. They are exploited, on average, three times per night. The average age is fourteen. In Georgia, an average of 12,400 men purchase sex with young women each month. 42% of men seek out sex with adolescent females. This is
