About this ebook

We live in a world hungry for the reality of God in its daily affairs. But the reality of all that God has and is through the centuries is largely invisible and intangible. The power and glory of God have remained an invisible force hidden from the sight and touch of mortal man. God, in His desire to make His invisible glory visibly known to man has offered the solution in the form of His anointing.
Christianity in its most memorable occasions has had to rely on the anointing of the Holy Spirit to manifest the invisible and hidden reality of God in this world. The essence of this book is to teach how the anointing operates by a specific universal law and how the ordinary believer can cooperate with it to visibly reveal to man God’s intangible and invisible glory. This is the law of manifestation.

This book is a must-read.

The Law of Manifestation - Dr. S. Sagoe-Nkansah

    Acknowledgments

I pay my first acknowledgment to the Holy Spirit, my more than able teacher, who has taught me much these thirty years. Without His counsel and anointing, this writing would have been impossible. To my Senior Territorial Bishop in AEGA, Dr. Albert A. Saah, who took time off his busy schedule to read this manuscript and gave me much fruitful advice; I salute you. I thank Paul Hlome my personal assistant who made all the necessary calls, contacts and typing to get this manuscript going. I say a big thank you to Daniel Annan, who took time to make the imperative decisions with me for getting this manuscript this far. And most of all, I appreciate the prayers of the members of the IFC Board of Governors, who have stood with me through thick and thin, since they took office.

    The Learning Curve

In the beginning of 1983, God brought me into the Charismatic Movement. The Holy Spirit came into my life and totally swept me off my feet. Prior to this experience, I had very little idea about the relationship between Christianity and the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit. I was a stark illiterate when it came to spiritual matters. I had had a fleeting encounter with the baptism in the Holy Spirit and had spoken in other tongues during my early teens, but that did not last ve ry long.

To give you a notion about how ignorant I was, I will say this; the very first time I heard a prophecy, I thought I was hearing the false ranting of a narcissistic person. This caused me to lose my temper, for the lady prophesying had said many things that sounded like a braggart’s rhetoric to my uneducated mind, and then she summed it up with I am the Lord. It was hard for me to figure out how a person in his or her right senses could rise up in a meeting to speak such words. I assumed she had lost her mind. However, with time, I did learn and turning that learning curve came very quickly to me, for the anointing taught me its ways. What I heard from the lady was a manifestation of the Holy Spirit called prophecy. The anointing is the move of the Holy Spirit in and upon the life of an individual or group of people.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. (1 John 2:27).

In the past thirty years, the Holy Spirit has taken me on a supernatural journey. I have become an avid student of His modus operandi.

The Bible makes it clear, that God ...made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel (Psalms 103:7). Though, I am by no stretch of the imagination as iconic as Moses was, I still believe, those who seek to know the anointing’s ways, will be taught by God. How was Moses taught God’s ways?

The anointing is a teacher and it did teach Moses all things or all his ways.

On my supernatural journey, my first encounter with the word anointing came through the writing of Oswald J. Smith, the late founding pastor of The People’s Church of Toronto, Canada. Through the years, as I studied the anointing, it became clear to me, that it had a variety of specific laws it will never break. I also found out, that I had to revere these laws, if I was to work effectively with the anointing in my life. One of these laws was the law of manifestation.

Though, there are several laws that define the behavior of the anointing, the purpose of this book is to bring to light what the Bible has to say about one of them—the law of manifestation. It shows how certain men and women of God through the decades have seen this law operate in their lives and ministries, and how they cooperated with it to see specific hidden spiritual realities become visible to the doubting world. Their generation was dazzled and spiritually revived to see these things.

All hidden things do not profit men, until they are brought into the open. The new birth creates within the believer numerous spiritual realities totally hidden from the eyes of the world. The Apostle Paul calls it the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints (Ephesians 1:18). The anointing of the Holy Spirit works by the law of manifestation to bring these hidden realities into the open. God wants to display these hidden realities to the unsaved world.

Today, too many believers are living below their God-given capacity to see the manifestations of God occur through them. But, the world of unbelievers want to see the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19). As a result of very little or no manifestations, the world in certain communities, cities and regions has been plunged into spiritual darkness. I believe that as the anointing operates the law of manifestation in our lives, this can be reversed. God is no respecter of persons, thus the believer of today, can also cooperate with this law to see the most amazing and spectacular things happen.

    Remain blessed as you read.

Face to face with Benny Hinn

    11318.jpg

I have been held in amazement for decades about the manifestation of God’s power through some of His notable servants. I grew up as a young Christian, savoring the stories I heard about the legendary figures of the American healing revival. Africa has had quite a significant input from these men and my country was no exception. I do remember observing them in photographs and then wondering how it would feel like to meet these icons of the twentieth century ministry face-to-face. I have, on many occasions, imagined having an up-close encounter with the likes of Dr. Oral Roberts and Dr. T. L. Osborne.

Benny Hinn came rather onto our radar screen a little late in the last century. Videos of him began to gain popularity in Ghana somewhere in the 1980s. Many watched in awe as he breathed on folks and the power of God totally overwhelmed them, sometimes knocking scores onto the floor. I would agree with many others that this mystical approach to ministering to people was completely novel to us. Not that it was unbiblical, for, after all, Jesus breathed on His disciples and told them to receive the Holy Spirit (John 20:22). To see it done by Jesus in the New Testament was one thing, but watching one actualize in our generation was a different ball game. I can easily recall many young evangelists, after seeing these videos, making countless frustrating attempts to emulate Hinn’s breathing method.

Matter of fact, Hinn had more up his sleeve in that department than merely breathing on church folk. Another video of his I watched some time ago showed him wildly swinging his jacket at the audience in a Dr. Cerullo conference and somehow the currents of air that swept over them did more than just cool their skin. An invisible power seemed to knock them out of their kilter in the most unusual way, sometimes leaving them unconscious. Though many ministers like myself can testify of having experienced the tangible influence of the anointing somewhere along the way, they will also concur that what Hinn does in this sphere bamboozles many.

I would admit, though, that in the quiet and solitary meditations of my heart, I have through the years, concluded that what Benny Hinn carried was really divine; so when I heard that he would be visiting my home country to do a crusade, I awaited it all with bated breath. Ghana for Christ Crusade did take place and all the leaders of our church packed ourselves in my car and off we went. On that open space, formerly used as a horse race course, multitudes had gathered. We were however able to squeeze our way through the thickening crowd to gain a favorable view of the platform. My anticipations for the October 1995 night seemed to eclipse the apparent discomfort I felt, as I stood in the more than a sweaty humid condition that the crowd created.

Then came the moment for the miracles to begin. The
