    REFERENCES

Stand firm as you have been commanded. Believe in Allah and then be steadfast. A person must have firmness upon his or her correct creed and actions. Therefore, stand firm against all odds and gain Allah’s pleasure. Be successful through obtaining Allah’s aid. Focus on achievements that please Him and at the same time utilize the best means to achieve best results. Verily Allah does not look at your wealth and your appearances, however He looks at your achievements and at your hearts.

This book mentions points that strike a beautiful balance between the mind, body and soul. Be a person of knowledge, faith, worship, righteousness and best character. Have you ever wondered how you can attain all this? This book will provide steps towards obtaining that and remaining firm upon the Qur’aan and the Sunnah. Your righteous actions performed with knowledge and according to the Sunnah of the Prophet peace be upon him and the understanding of the Sahaba (companions) will open all means of happiness for you. Your correct faith has a tremendous ability to empower your happiness and make you firm. Take the example Asya, the wife of Pharoah, who in the midst of all torture was happy internally, and was firm upon her belief.

Just have faith and do righteous actions according to the Qur’aan and Sunnah. Allah will help you stay firm and send His Aid to you. Make the pleasure of Allah your number one goal and everything will fall into place. Gain authentic knowledge and Allah will help you overcome your uncertainties.  Acquire Islamic knowledge from authentic sources and protect your heart from harmful knowledge. The Salaf (the righteous predecessors) would stay away from knowledge that could be a danger to one’s faith such as that of philosophy.  Let your knowledge and love of Allah increase every day. Loving Him should be your top priority.

    CHAPTER 1: SEEK ALLAH’S AID

Whatever good you want of this world and the Hereafter, be sure to ask Allah’s aid in obtaining it. Whenever you seek aid, always seek it from Allah and know that if the entire world was to gather to help you in attaining something they would not be able to help you unless Allah has decreed that for you.

Ibn 'Abbas narrated, ‘One day I was riding behind the Prophet (ﷺ) when he said, O lad, be mindful of Allah and He will protect you. Be mindful of Allah and you shall find Him with you. When you ask (for anything), ask it from Allah, and if you seek help, seek help from Allah [At-Tirmidhi, Book 16, Hadith 1515]. Related by At-Tirmidhi who verified it as Hasan and Sahih.
