Book of Wisdom

About this ebook
These quotes are my personal take on life as I have experienced it. I wrote them as they came to my mind sometimes thinking about something, going through a situation or watching people in different settings passing through life. Sometimes I hold conflicting views on the same subject. This is a journey through my mind. You may find some of my conclusions wrong but that is my viewpoint. It’s OK if you come up with different conclusions. I am not guided by any ideology; I am just a normal human being in search of the meaning of life. In these pages sometimes you will find me happy, at other times gloomy; sometimes you will think I am a fool, at other times you will find me wise; there are times you will find me to be an atheist, at other times you will see me full of the spirit of god; sometimes you will find me completely wrong, at other times you will agree with me. This is the third book on my musings on life, the first being The Great Pearl of Wisdom and the second being Pearls of Eternity.

MISCELLANEOUS QUOTES
We are trained to use euphemisms instead of the hard right word, you are considered rude if you tell the truth as it is. In fact we are encouraged to lie about how we feel (it’s called being civilized!). So what would happen if people just told it the way it was and expressed themselves the way they really felt? You see, too much havoc is avoided by our diplomatic approach to interpersonal relationship. Then lying is not a sin but a way of life.
It’s only a sin when it hurts you long or short term, if it helps you it’s not a sin whatever others may call it.
You can make magic only if you act at the right time when the right conditions are in place
Capitalism: let live who can afford to, not simply who wishes to. Life has a price and it belongs only to those who can pay it.
It’s not how much material things you have hoarded that will make you happy but how satisfied you are with what you have so far. A rich person can be the poorest wreck if he is not satisfied with what he already has and a materially poor can be happy if he is satisfied with the little he has.
Hoarding can never end, for the heart of man always coverts for more, its raging appetites can only be quenched by the heavy sands of the grave.
Killing a person is the stupidest thing a person can do, you get blamed to commit murder on someone who would have died of his own accord anyway.
People refrain from crimes from fear of punishment not for moral reasons (they can deal with their conscience latter), if there was hope for impunity most people would commit crimes. We know this from people who enjoyed complete impunity; we know what they did with their power.
The age of reason may have had its golden age, but the age of emotion endures forever.
There are no superior or inferior races. No one is intrinsically inferior or superior. All have the same value as creatures of god. Those who put others down simply want to exploit them.
As long as we build walls around our cities, we make desperate people on the outside who want to come more resolute to bring it down.
Sin is when you do something that is against your well-being.
Necessity is the mother of all inventions
To those supremacist racists I ask what color will be their bodies when it will have turned dust.
Though shalt have a code of your own laws that govern you according to how you yourself perceive the world and though shalt be proud in them.
Though shalt doubt everything before accepting them as fact.
Things do not come to us automatically we must induce them to come our way.
It’s a war of visions and dreams, none of which is substantiated, in the end only the ones best published and adhered to by the most powerful will be known as the supreme truth, the rest will be trampled underfoot.
In a standoff it’s the one who has something to lose who moves first.
Information sometimes is lethal; you may be harmed by what you know. Information means greater responsibility. Sometimes it’s better not to know than know.
At the end of the day you are your own lawmaker.
It’s not that you die for it that makes it true, it’s because you believe it that it is true.
Don’t be bothered by people speaking against you behind your back, you are so important to merit to be the subject of their talk.
Words can move mountains.
Some beliefs are so strongly held that some believers are ready to lose their heads than the belief they carry therein
If you have come to the point you are ready to consult spirits to know more about your life, there is nothing under the sun that you can’t do.
The greatest thieves are not caught. Not because it’s not known that they are thieves but because you cannot accuse them of robbery and live. These thieves are praised as national heroes and liberators or as successful entrepreneurs.
I don’t like perfect heroes; I can’t recognize myself in them. I like flawed heroes, like me. I want to see how they struggle with their flaws and in spite of that manage to slay the dragon.
Sexual desire and impulse blindly lead a man to the object of his desire
Sexual desire has made stumble so many great men; you cannot be greater than your innate instincts
No one is greater than the passions burning in his heart
People have no pity; they trample on those beneath them
Myths had a purpose, they still do but we need myths that reflect the times we live in today
Religious leaders, like politicians and magicians are a band of professional liars, no wonder they understand each other and work together to perpetuate their powers over the naïve masses
Women’s beauty is a magic wand; many have turned it into a gold vein
The dead look at us and envy us; they say If I could live again, I could do this or that better.
You are still alive, do it before it’s too late
A full fridge is like an empty one: What am I going to eat?
Home is where you feel more welcome, more security, have more rights, where you are loved. This place can be any place even away from what you would normally call home.
As the rainbow wouldn’t be beautiful without its many colors, the world wouldn’t be so enchanting if it had only one race or tribe, spoke only
