About this ebook

When it comes to the issue of money, many people have become fashioned after the usual way, generally accepted thought or notion about it or pattern of doing things. Though they are less successful financially, they are not ready to accept a change or allow transformation in their mind by the reason of the release or influx of new ideals as a result of which they are operating below God’s will for their lives.

Financial Intelligence For Believers - Michael Oyagha

Chapter One: New Wine In Old Wine Skin

"Besides, who would patch old clothing with new cloth? For the new patch would shrink and rip away from the old cloth, leaving an even bigger tear than before.

And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine is stored in new wineskins so that both are preserved. Matthew 9:16-17 NLT

In the book of Romans Chapter 12 and verse 2, the Bible says, "do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]." When it comes to the issue of money, many people have become fashioned after the usual way, generally accepted thought or notion about it or pattern of doing things. Though they are less successful financially, they are not ready to accept a change or allow transformation in their mind by the reason of the release or influx of new ideals as a result of which they are operating below God’s will for their lives. Many are operating at the level of the good will when they should be at the level of the acceptable will, while others are at the level of acceptable will when they should be at the height of perfect will.  My prayer for you is that, by the time you are done with this book, you will be operating at the highest capacity and potential, financially, that God has ordained for you.

Somebody asked a question that goes thus, can you add more water to a cup that is already full? To some people, the answer would be "NO while others would say MAYBE" but the answer is YES. How? If you are willing and ready to throw-away the water in the cup and pour a fresh water into the cup.

I am very sure that this book will draw different reactions from different quarters. Some would ask, why write a book on money when souls are dying? Why not a book on revival, prayers, holiness, etc. Well, it may interest you to know that one of the resources that has hindered the spread of the gospel, as it should, is money.

Can you compare the number of adverts you see on the television, internet, billboards, T-Shirts, and hear on radio jingles etc. for alcoholic beverages, cigarettes, etc. with that telling people about Christ? As a matter of fact, you can hardly find any billboard in the cities and villages advertising Christ Jesus, why? Because of the cost.

One of the great tragedies of the church is that her members are not empowered with the financial knowledge to help them create lasting wealth. Even in the so-called prosperity churches, the only prosperity they teach is motivating people to give. Prosperity comes by following financial laws, including giving, but not giving only.

Doing away with financial ignorance is the task of the church. One of the primary obligations of the church is to set the captives free including being free from financial bondage. We do not learn this freedom only from giving tithes and paying offerings; the church should also teach how to get
