      The Gospels record seven statements of Jesus as He hung upon the cross. They are often referred to as the Seven Last Words. All seven statements do not appear in any one Gospel and some appear in only one Gospel. Each of them offers food for reflection and prayer. In this text, I offer you my own reflections on these powerful statements of Jesus. By no means is this meant to be a scholarly presentation. Instead,
