The times I have found myself at what I thought was the basement of my existence instead became the pinnacle of my need to seek and find my Heavenly Father.       The Word of God

      Have you ever wondered why the Word is so important? Why we speak of the Word of God as we do? It is because everything that God ever did was with his spoken word. The spoken Word is powerful. It was powerful for God, Jesus, and many in the Bible and it is just as powerful for us.

      First, we see that God created the universe and everything by speaking it into existence.

      1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light, and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3

      Then as Genesis 1 progresses you find "And God said," another eight times as he finished with creation. This set the standard. He did not use his hands he spoke - words.
