Njabulo does not try to inspire people, it just comes naturally. I am so excited to read this book as I am sure it will be as incredible as Njabulo is. His five keys to achievement are something to be noted and practised every day, because Njabulo is a success story of those steps. He isn’t a fly-by-night; he is someone who leads by example.

Foreword
When Njabulo asked me to write a foreword for his first book, I felt honoured, excited and challenged. Here is a man who I know will go on to be an inspirational success story. I hope I can do this work justice. I first saw him deliver a demonstration speech at MayCon 2016 where I went on to win the District 74 International Speech contest for the second time. I was mesmerised and in awe of his stage presence, natural charm and passion when speaking. (No prizes for guessing why I’m glad he wasn’t competing that day). His topic, My Three Dimensions, had me thinking about the most important things in life that define success. He defined it by his family, friends and passions. I feel this is very fitting for what he communicates in this book.
Success seems to be a misunderstood concept in today’s society. In the media, success appears defined by bling; among men by the feminine company you keep or by how many awards you have or how much money you have made. However, none of this is valid. In the ensuing pages, Njabulo clearly defines success from a surprising perspective, one in which you would need to define success for yourself first.
As we are in the International Toastmasters, the organisation dedicated to improving speaking and leadership skills, one has to have a commitment to personal development to reap the rewards. There are those who join, pay their membership fees and then neglect the commitment to speaking and growing their leadership skills. They invariably become spectators in the success game. The success philosophy is simply to pay the fee and follow the money. This philosophy of commitment is one of the most striking in this book; commitment to goals and leadership.
Leadership is defined not by title or office. Leadership is defined by the influence and the spirit of service that you cultivate. These traits are seen in the great leaders of the past and the lesser-known leaders of today. Leadership skills can be learned, grown and cultivated through a process. Volunteering for a non-profit organisation, introducing innovations at your home and workplace, and purposefully working on organisation skills are some of the things you can do to become a better leader. You just have to realise that you are and can be a better leader. The world needs a lot more of them, so don’t be afraid to step up and speak out.
Speaking is a leadership skill that can fast-track your success. I have met countless people whose success was propelled by speaking. Speaking may be frightening in the beginning but as you gain experience, coaching and feedback, you will amaze yourself. Public speaking has improved my self-confidence and career and has led me to great experiences in the World Championships of Public Speaking.
As you read Inspired Success, you are in for a treat. This practical and insightful book will guide you through the actionable tenets of success, speaking and leading. Be sure to have your pens, highlighters and study materials as you get ready to work towards greater heights of achievement. Be sure to drop Njabulo a note and thank him for pursuing his worthy ideal to assist people reach theirs.
I thought I was successful and had it all figured out. But after reading this book, I now think I can be truly successful and influential. Thanks, Njabulo.

Preface
When I graduated from Rhodes University with an honours degree in Information Systems, I joined the workforce as a business consultant and moved into a home with my two roommates: mom and dad. My sister is a fashion designer so I did not feel the need to spend money on clothes. My brother is a DJ, so it was unnecessary for me to spend money on parties. Instead, I decided to spend my money on chasing my passion by attending wealth creation seminars and courses. I haven’t stopped since. It has been an incredible journey. I have seen, met and listened to the very best life coaches in the world: Andrew Barsa, Andy Harrington, Les Brown, Chris Gardner, Dr. John Dimartini, Robert Kiyosaki, Tony Robbins, Jordan Belfort, Peter Sage, JT Foxx, Todd Falcone, Eric Worre, Gerry Robert and many others. I have ventured from the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, Gauteng, to the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I began presenting these ideas of personal development and mastery at work and received a positive reception. Someone suggested I write a book. I considered this but wondered what I would write about. At the time, I imagined that modelling myself on Napoleon Hill would be a good option. I would learn from successful people, interview them and codify their lessons. The result would be a book that had lessons, ideas and principles that readers could use as an inspiration to themselves and others. Regardless of whether they had been mastered, these principles would inspire and change the lives of the readers and those around them. The book would be a compilation of numerous lessons learned from coaches, mentors and my personal journey to becoming a better person.
This book is intended to provide concepts, ideas and action points that you can apply practically to make your life better. It is broken up
