101 Ways to Nurture Yourself - Chris Mabon
1
Learn to say No
Physical
When people seem to be pulling at you from every angle and errands and to do’s seem to be never-ending, learning to say No
can be tough. But it can also be a much needed gift to self. Take a day, a week or even a month and set a few boundaries and just say No
. Use that time and do something nice for yourself that you have been putting off. And just one more thing…treat yourself to a copy of Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown.
Emotional
Sometimes both our strengths and our fears keep us from saying No
. But, from time-to-time just say No
to bring rest and nurturing to the body and peace to the spirit.
2
Acknowledge your feelings
Physical:
Letting someone know how much pleasure and joy that they have made you feel is just as important as letting someone know that you are not happy with them. Either way, it can give you a feeling of liberation.
Emotional:
Check in with your heart from time to time and see how you are feeling and acknowledge it. If there’s no one around, or you are shy about sharing your heartfelt feelings, then just acknowledge it to yourself.
3
Declutter your workspace
Physical:
This move will make you feel more organized and increase your productivity.
Emotional:
It will give a way towards abundance and prosperity by giving more space for new things to come into your life.
4
Spend the afternoon at the zoo
Physical:
This can be a perfect interruption to a stress-filled day.
Emotional:
It can make you feel like a kid again.
5
Create a comfort box
Physical:
A comfort box is a go-to box for relaxation. It should contain the things that comfort you. Here’s what’s in my box:
Chamomile tea, scented candles, photos of my sons when they were young,
