Daily Inspirational Messages From The Heart

About this ebook
Daily Inspirational Messages from the Heart is exactly that - short, daily, thought-provoking messages presenting the empowering heart-based life management tools Keith has accumulated over decades, in a form that can enhance your own experience and broaden your thinking wherever you are on your path. The book emerged from Keith Giemre's daily messages on his Facebook page, Lifeunpacked.
The previous book “It Just Is” concluded with a paragraph which said that you could only view a tiny piece of life’s puzzle in this life, and that we should all stop trying to understand our life, because “It Just Is” and it is also divine, and we should all view and trust that it is divine.
This book – “Daily Inspirational Messages from the Heart” – follows on from that sentiment. The present day should be read, before proceeding to the next day. The beauty of this approach is that you can start reading this book at any time during a year and just follow on with the days you missed at the end of the year to complete the full 365/6 cycle of messages.
The theme of the book follows a body, mind and soul genre, together with inserts of the awareness of happenings on earth and in the television programme field. The book again highlights the author’s ability to simplify the unpacking of many spiritual and daily events.
A useful book to challenge and expand your thinking, and a perfect gift for anyone seeking deeper spiritual experience.
Keith Giemre
Keith Giemre enjoyed an expansive and vibrant international accounting career culminating in his appointment as Executive Chairman of South African media giant, Primedia Broadcasting. Now retired, Keith lives in Cape Town just a few meters from the Atlantic Sea, with Table Mountain nestled on the left hand side of his iconic picture postcard balcony view. Keith's journey from relatively sheltered childhood in Pretoria to a point where both spiritual and material achievement are welded into an exceptional level of success, is detailed in his growing body, mind and soul series of books. Keith's books are aimed at adults who have begun to question the mysteries of life and are striving to make sense of it all. The books record the evolvement of Keith's own body, mind and soul, taking the reader from the out of body experience of a small boy, through 60 years of research into the familiar questions: Who are we? Why are we living on earth? And what happens to us when our earth body dies? And what happens to our soul after the earth death? Keith shares his personal journey through these questions in his 7-book series.

Foreword
I have read and loved all of Keith Giemre’s books, and am delighted, surprised and deeply honoured to find myself writing this, the foreword to his 6th book.
The nature of this book is meaningful in the context of this time in my life, and possibly this time in history. Many people grasping for deeper understanding of life will find in Keith’s daily sharings points of calm, guidance, nurturance and growth. Take a full year to read this book; walk this path with Keith, and journal your responses so that you can see from Day 1 to Day 365 the gift that such a constant spiritual practice is in your life.
We may be living in a global village, but the global part of that concept does not always promote rootedness, stability and community. Very few of us, 10 or 20 or 40 years later, still live in our home town. We have friends and family all over the world. Our tribe
is scattered and deracinated, we barely know who they are. We have no constant point of reference, and the dentist, doctor, hairdresser or church where we are recognized just doesn’t exist. No wonder we are a world in conflict with itself and whose inhabitants are at war with each other. For many, peace is an unimaginable concept.
In the global village we have all become migrants. How many of us know where we truly belong?
And, in that dangerously disconnected context, who are our spiritual leaders?
Like many of my peers I grew up in a small town, went to Sunday School and Church with my parents and then moved on to a career in another town. The search for my own special place in a very big world included the search for some kind of spiritual nurturance that would be meaningful to me. I had moved away from the staunchly dogmatic approach of my early years with all its rules and exclusivities. While I knew there was much good in many of the teachings, I could not accept all of them. I wanted more universal human kindness, more understanding of those who believed differently and were other
. It was a good place to go on from.
Part of the art of maturity is learning about yourself: we must know who it is we do not want to be, as much as we must know who it is that we do want to be.
Many years and many paths later, I found myself facilitating a small spiritualist gathering centre in Milnerton, along with a dear friend and soul sister called Kerry van der Spuy. Milnerton Light Centre evolved because Kerry and I both found ourselves living in an area where we identified a need for spiritual nurturance that was different in nature from that which could be found in established churches. Established Churches do an enormous amount of good, AND there are some folk whose hearts and souls yearn for something more universal, learning and experience beyond the paradigm of any one philosophy or belief system.
Milnerton Light Centre was a bridging place, open to all and founded on the principles of spiritualism which has no fixed creed. Spiritualists base their lives on service to humanity. These are its principles:
1. The Fatherhood of God
2. The Brotherhood of Man
3. The Communion of Spirit and the Ministry of Angels
4. The Continuous Existence of the Soul after the transition called death
5. Personal Responsibility
6. Compensation & Retribution hereafter for all the good and evil done on Earth
7. Eternal Progression of the Soul
After five years, it became clear that the time had come for both Kerry and me to move on to other learnings in our lives. In accordance with clear spiritual messages, we held our last gathering on Easter Sunday, 2015. I moved across South Africa to take up a new job in a very remote area, leaving my family, friends and everything familiar behind me.
With no access to meditation groups, minimal connection with like-minded friends and negligible social engagement, I soon learned that communal living
in the context of the migrant worker has little or nothing to do with real community.
I learned to rely on Facebook for spiritual community. In magical synchronicity, Keith Giemre stepped in with his wonderful wisdom and quiet thoughtfulness to fill a gap. Keith felt led to start a Facebook page called Lifeunpacked – named for his first book. With just one deep thought-offering every day, Keith created a new form of daily communion and meditation.
Social media can play a pivotal role in providing that one point of stability in an unstable world. In a leaderless world, leadership, must come from within. Personal leadership is ignited, encouraged and gently nurtured by the teachers and wise mentors on our paths such as Keith Giemre. I have grappled with some of Keith’s daily offerings; he does not expect blind acceptance. Mindfulness, thoughtfulness and willingness to go deep
– the elements that lead us to our own truth - are the greatest gifts of today’s true spiritual leaders, the elders who bridge the seen and unseen worlds by compassionately, courageously and openly communicating their own spiritual truths that lead us to the realization and acceptance of our own. This is a common quest, not just for travelers like me. We all seek that point of connection with All That Is, a safe anchoring place for daily communion with our creative source where we can sit in silence for even just a few minutes and allow the season to be exactly what it is and feel our one-ness with all of life. We are, after all, part of Nature.
I will be always grateful to Keith for the daily sustenance of the Lifeunpacked Facebook page, and so glad that this gift will be shared with many more as it takes on new life in the form of a book. I am eternally grateful to Sue, Keith’s beloved wife, for persuading him shortly before her soul returned to the stars that his 5th and final book (as he called it) should be the one preceding the 6th, 7th and beyond.
Wherever, whoever you are in your life and in the world right now, know that thousands of others may be reading these pages with you, every day. You are never alone, and this book will make sure that you know it. Life has conspired to bring you this tool, and I hope you will use it well on your path to love, balance and inner peace.

January 2017
Introduction
During the last week of December 2015, I kept getting strong urges to consider writing a daily message on a Facebook page, which I had set up for feedback in marketing my 5 published books – ‘lifeunpacked Facebook page’. This marketing campaign has yet to begin.
These daily messages, would at the same time be recorded in a book I would start, and at the end of the year, I would publish the year’s messages. So I started the first message on 1st January 2016, and told myself I would see how it went for a few days, and then review my undertaking.
A few days before the end of December 2015, my second sized cat, took it upon herself to start demanding her food, or sometimes, was desperate to get outside – at just before 5am every morning. So I kept her at bay until 5.30 am and then got up. It dawned on me then to use 20 minutes of that early morning time to write my daily message. Very soon this became routine. So I never found it too difficult to find that 20 minutes every morning. Even when I was away from Cape Town, I found I adopted a similar waking up schedule.
The purpose of this book is to read only the day’s inspirational message, and not to read ahead. Often the same subject may be stretched over 2, 3 or 4 days. The book was written initially for the 2016 year; however the daily inspirations could refer to any year. The main purpose of the messages was to provide a variety of topics daily across the year.
Also please bear in mind that my evolvement of physical, spiritual and emotional growth, like yours, is ongoing. This could be reflected in changes to my beliefs during the year – which may be apparent in the later messages.
Enjoy reading the messages as much as I enjoyed writing them.
Month of
January
At the start of this New Year remind yourself how unique you are- there is no one exactly like you on earth- and recognize that every other person is also unique. How exciting. If you are going through what you label as problems – do not look outside for the solution – look within.
Many people block their energy flow through shallow breathing. Here is a simple exercise – with the breath in and out through your nose. Find a clock with a second hand, or a wristwatch, or failing that count silently to yourself. Breathe in for the count of 5 seconds – hold that breath for 20 seconds – breathe out for 10 seconds, pulling your tummy in as you approach 10 seconds – hold that position for 5 seconds. This brings you back to the starting breath. Repeat 3 times in 2 minutes. Do this every morning and every afternoon, you will soon feel the difference and it only takes daily 4 minutes of your time.

We have 2 selves – our true self which is at our core – our heart, which is our soul, and our dual self –our ego that operates from within our consciousness. Here is a simple exercise to merge the selves as one. Imagine your brain dropping down your face, through your neck and chest to settle over your heart. You have now united your soul, ego and mind as one. See your shining sun in your heart radiating light and love in all the directions; whenever you feel stressed or anxious, try this exercise.

Where anything in our lives does not run easily and effortlessly we are likely to find worry and anxiety. Money is such a case. Many banks today offer their clients an electronic service alerting them of movements in their bank account. This enables you at all times to have full knowledge of the account and its balance. If you do not yet receive this service – speak to your bank. For those who are looking for a very simple system to project their monthly income and expenses – ‘Money Control’, Appendix 3, in ‘Unpacking Life’ (my first book) will provide an easy to understand summary.
_
On the 3rd January, I gave you an exercise to unite and merge your brain, mind and heart – body, mind and soul. Today the exercise is to release tension and frustration. When you find yourself working on something, and you are feeling tense or frustrated – stop – breathe in and out your nose 3 or 4 times slowly- you have now come off autopilot, into an awareness mode. Now visualize your brain moving up out of your head, to about 2 or 3 feet above your head – you have effectively raised yourself to a higher frequency – slowly return it to its original position. Carry on doing what you were before. You will notice the difference.

Today I would like to look at the foundation of all our adult beliefs. All is one and divine. We all have the freedom to choose whether we believe this or whether we don’t believe it. From this decision, I would suggest all our other beliefs arise. So let us look at each of the options. You believe it to be true – this means you accept that every experience and event in your
