    Preface

    Do you want a better life than you have now? How many times over the years have you asked yourself how you could get a better life—be a success? Besides the fear of stepping into a world of change, what do you think is holding you back from experiencing that better life? Do you want it? Then go for it!

    Where is your present lifestyle taking you? Have you asked yourself that question? Besides the daily grind, the trials, and tribulations that sometimes seem confusing and have become part of daily life, something even more sinister could be occurring. It’s the ambivalence and mixed feelings that are hidden beneath the surface within our own minds. People from all walks of life are confronting pressures every day. Pressures and stressful situations they never experienced before.

    Because the world is what it is today—a fast-paced, one-world economy—middle-class people cannot see light at the end of the tunnel. They see no possible way to rise above the fray due to stagnant wages while having the feeling of being left out, or left behind.     Chapter One

    Introducing You to Success

    We are all products of our own thoughts. This means that each of us, by the process of our minds, attracts to ourselves conditions, situations, and circumstances that work to constitute our own individual measure of health, happiness, and success.

    There are some of us, who, by chance or otherwise, seem to automatically use and exercise the kind of mental control that attract situations, circumstances, and conditions of good health, happiness, and success in such a manner and timing as to make our roads through life a wonderful, magnificent experience.

    A majority of us, however, are less fortunate and we find ourselves forced to deliberately, aggressively, and logically cultivate the habits of thinking creatively in order to progressively realize the measure of the good things of life that we as individuals know should be ours—that feeling must be ours if we are to feel within ourselves that we are and will continue to be capable of ever growing and reaching those lofty goals and achievements over this life.

    So in reading this book and using my methods, techniques, and strategies to make your life a success, you can be assured that whatever your past experiences have been and whatever your outlook on life has been you are about to embark on a path of improving your personality development and self-discipline.

    There are only so many hours in a day. You can’t get more time out of any day no matter how hard you try, and I’ll show you how to harness your time so you can be more proficient in reaching your goals. I will also show you how to develop and sustain the power inside of you to be the best you can be.

    As you move through the pages, you will notice a continuing flow of new ideas, thoughts, and desires being activated and aroused by what you are reading. The techniques and strategies you read will help you get what you want out of life.

    Your personality—in so far as how it has been developed—is largely the result of chance influences that were outside your control. In some respects, your personality development may be completely out of harmony, causing unhappiness, frustration, and instability. By using my methods described in this book, and the systematic use of auto-suggestion, relaxation, visualization, imagery, and other useful mental exercises, you will begin the process of building yourself and your life to enjoy success.

    Your predominant purpose is to build your personality—but you also are to choose a particular purpose, a goal. It is absolutely essential that you have a particular objective you desire to reach—some goal you really desire to realize. The entire world is full of people today who are indeed unsuccessful, not because they lack education of academic training but because they have never taken time to become aware of exactly what it is they would like to have from life.

    My method for your success is based on scientific lines and is specific. You’ll not be theorizing or delving in abstractions that do not have a straight-line purpose to maximize yourself.

    There are those people who actually spend more time putting together a birthday party or a trip to the beach than they spend trying to plan their lives out. The average person accepts and takes life as it unfolds before them. They move through life hoping for better. These people have no plan, and they take no real action. You could say their life plan is one of inaction.

    This is your call to action. You have a direction you want to go. In fact, when you first considered using my methods and strategies, you had an objective in view, a purpose, a goal. What is your goal?

    Do you want financial success? Do you want a greater measure of happiness? Do you desire more friends and social positions? Do you want better health? Do you desire an improved personality? Do you want to read or speak better? A specific definition of your goal—your desire you have in mind—is the first essential step.

    For example: In choosing your first objective, be frank and candid with yourself. Regardless of the amount of conferring and analyzing you must do with yourself at this time, be certain to make your first life purpose something that you can accept as within the range of possibility. Remember, even if your objective is only one step toward your ultimate aim in life, let it be something you can and will do. Regardless of how infinitesimal your first step may seem, don’t hesitate to choose it and resolve to make it a realization at the moment the opportunity presents itself.

    It’s well to understand that to be successful in life it is vital that you learn the importance of the small things that combine themselves to make tremendous circumstances in a person’s life. By taking small steps, you’re unlikely to make big mistakes. Don’t become tired of learning the small things that turn the scales of destiny. Every man and woman must train for his and her great achievements. It’s the ability to grasp and master the small progressive movements that lead to even greater opportunities, and it’s the energy of experience retained in your personality that gives you the potential energy necessary to successfully meet even greater undertakings.

    From this moment on, I suggest that you keep your eyes trained on your first immediate purpose or goal. Never let it go; keep it before you until it becomes a realization. For purpose of this book and my program, the word success will be defined as an extended, yet comfortable and relaxed concentration of an individual’s mind on one idea, one project, one object, one problem, or goal.

    At the same time, it can be a mind-training vehicle and looked at as a very useful tool of your trained mind. My techniques and strategies are devices to help your mind’s creativity and thinking, analyze problem evaluations and solutions, and eliminate psycho-blocks and barriers. It also can be considered a full manifestation of your inner energy potential bursting into outer reality.

    There is no secret to using my strategies. Any person who has thought in deep concentration about any type of personal difficulty or been engrossed in basic daydreaming has literally been involved in this process, to an extent. My secret to gain success is an adjunct and useful tool of an individual’s mind; however, it’s vastly more effective when it’s done on a conscious level and when it can be turned on and off at will. One well thought-out course of action, or conduct, is more productive than a thousand fragmentary, undirected movements that have no relation to themselves or to your aspirations and goals in life. The time spent using my visualization, relaxation, and concentration techniques on your ideals will pay off in enormous rewards. Let’s put it into two phases:

    First: Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Assume an easy sitting or reclining position and make the first move to getting acquainted with yourself in a comfortable manner. Center your mind upon the real reason and urge that made you embark on this journey. Probably there are quite a number of reasons. Consider them all and conclude which one of them is most important to you at this particular time. Then assert aloud (if possible) this one real reason in an affirmative manner as this:

    I’m studying and practicing this method of personal improvement for extraordinary success to improve personality, or to cultivate personal magnetism, or to cultivate determination," or whatever your specific reason may be.

    Second: Define the reason:

    I’m studying this method of being a success to improve my myself so that I may increase my sales ability, or to cultivate a personal aura, or to cultivate personal charisma so that I may be more successful socially, or to increase my will power and determination so that I can conquer inferior habits, or whatever your individual reason may be.

    The purpose of my success training is to help you know yourself and your powers; to give you understanding of how to properly combine, coordinate, and unify your thinking; and to learn how to use your determination, will power, and actions to realize a greater measure of the truly good things in life.

    I will help you to know the difference of what and where you are, right now, and where and what you want to be. I will show you how to believe in yourself.

    Men and women tend to specialize. Some rely on physical activity to solve problems; others rely solely on mental processes alone. It stands to reason that the use of your mind and body as a unit—willing to think and act upon the resolution—can resolve most situations. The information and instructions in this book can help you deal with your problems as they arise.

    Success and well-being—the ability to enjoy the quality of life, wherever you are—can be reduced to a science. As you read through the pages of this book, you’ll find you can make automatic use of principles for different situations and various phases of life. It also puts you in a position to assist those around you who see your sound character and attractive personality as it develops.

    The subconscious actions of your mind that accompany your objectives and attract you to the ideas, materials, and opportunities will harmonize all of the effort you put into it. Since deliberate and methodical thinking for specific purposes expend energy, the release of energy in action inevitably presents the reward for the kind of thinking done.

    NOTE: There are some of us, who by chance or otherwise seem to automatically use and exercise the kind of mental control that brings a measure of life experiences that are of such magnitude as to attract situations, circumstances and conditions of good heath, happiness and success in such a manner and timing as to make their road through life a wonderful, magnificent experience.

    A COMPLICATED WORLD

    We live in a complicated world, and many people find it confusing and unmanageable. People see the world fighting wars, and they watch television and see news reports of crime, mayhem, and tragic events. They try to understand and make sense of all the chaos in our society. People are committing suicide as they look for some type of relief from the painful events in their lives. Divorce rates are climbing to high levels and thousands of families see their family unit crumbling before their eyes.

    There’s a lack of communication between family members, and families are split by a divide in the generations.

    In this book you have in your hand the tools to a very powerful method that can change your life for the better in an extraordinary way. These tools offer a powerful pathway to achieve your major desires and goals.

    In order to ensure success in every task you take on, you will be shown how to strengthen and improve your inner self.
