About this ebook
It seems that everyone could use a little more time- especially in the mornings. It might be hard enough to get one person up, ready and out the door on time but when you add in other people- especially little people the time gets shorter and the number of tasks required gets longer. That is where this book comes in handy. No, it is not a magic book that can slow the passing of time or anything like that. What this book will do is help you identify the time wasters (including the small, sticky children that you have to wrangle from Point A to Point B) and how to eliminate most of the worst offenders.
You will learn things such as:
- Using organization to your time advantage.
- Preparing ahead, including being up to a week ahead so that surprises do not complete throw you for a loop.
- Making your children part of the team and at least partially responsible for some tasks.
You will also learn how running the kids through practice drills in the final weeks of summer can help ease them back to school without tears, battles, threats and absolute breakdowns and it will be easier on the kids as well.

Introduction
I will be the first to admit that I am not a morning person. I was shouted at a chirrupy young woman who was leading some yoga poses on television to zip it because she was so unbearably perky. Getting up to grab the remote and change the channel did not dawn on me in my pre-awake state.
Of my children, only one would qualify as a morning person at all and that is because there is frankly never a bad time for him. You just wake him whenever, and he will run his fingers through his hair, brush his teeth and off he bounds, full of energy and smiling away. My girls, on the other hand, are an entirely different story. Unfortunately for the world, they have inherited my grumpikins status. In fact, if allowed and left undisturbed for long enough the youngest will sleep until mid-evening, and I am not exaggerating. I have often had to peep in to see if she perhaps ran away from home in the night only to find her crashed out.
