There can be just too many diets out there, and I am one of the many people out there who felt overwhelmed because of these choices. If you felt the same way I did, then you may have experienced what they call choice paralysis. This happens when you want to make a decision, but there are just too many options that you end up choosing nothing at all.

This failure to make a decision proved to be one of the worst decisions I made in my life. For a long time, I have let my weight seesaw, and my health choices became poorer with every dish that I prepared. I told myself that I would start with a real diet next month but I never did. I browsed through information looking for a perfect diet, but I never did choose one. The paralysis was finally cured when I discovered the ketogenic diet.

The ketogenic diet had everything that I needed. First, it was a low carb diet, this is a large check on my diet scoreboard. Low carb diets are my top priority because of my struggle with my weight. Second, it was a good fat burner. The ketogenic diet replaces carbs with fat. When you have fat in your body instead of carbs, the body becomes a well-oiled fat burning machine. This state of burning is called ketosis. During ketosis, fat becomes your source of energy, which supplies your energy requirement for your body and brain.

Aside from these two benefits, the ketogenic diet also causes increased reduction of the sugar and insulin levels in your body. As a result, this reduces the risk for diabetes. With all things considered, the ketogenic diet has helped me lose unwanted weight, reduced risk of developing diabetes, brain-related diseases, and even cancer. The ketogenic diet can do all of this without the typical feeling of being hungry that some diets are known for.

If you want a holistic diet that takes care of both your health and your taste preferences, then the ketogenic diet can prove to be the best choice out of the many diet options out there.
