DIY Body Scrubs and Facial Masks - Carrie Bishop

    Introduction

While using facial masks and scrubs can be beneficial for your skin, using commercially made masks and scrubs can be detrimental because they don’t always have the customer’s needs in mind. All of those preservatives and added chemicals can be much harsher on your skin than necessary, and they only seem to have a small amount of the ingredients that are actually beneficial. Therefore, making your own scrubs and masks is a lot healthier for your skin and your body, and it’s a lot healthier for your wallet, too!

Using all-natural ingredients, almost all of them edible, helps keep your skin feeling soft, sexy, and fresh! Add some raw honey to any mixture in order to give it antibacterial and antifungal properties, and add a little salt or sugar for a gentle exfoliate. And don’t be afraid to add oil to your facial masks and scrubs because the addition of oil to the scrubs should not exacerbate the presence of acne. In fact, most blemishes are caused by an imbalance of moisture in the skin, which can be caused by chronically dry skin rather than oily
