Introduction
We’ve all had those days where we get home, completely tired from work. When all you want to do is eat something quick before going to sleep. So you reach for that package of instant noodles or that microwavable meal, unknowing of the possible health risks each package contains. Okay, perhaps not each package, but they do build up as excess acid in our bodies each day. Of course our body has natural counter systems in charge of neutralizing this acid, but it does put stress on the organs involved, even in healthy bodies. After all, it’s the exact type of food our parents told us to love when we were young. However, with the huge popularity of processed foods in the standard American diet that we might not recognize even now means that there will be challenges down the road. What I like about the Alkaline Diet specifically is that it doesn’t involve starving yourself to gain a healthier body. One of my closest friends used to be anorexic, so this is especially close and personal to me. She was constantly drained of energy and very unconfident in herself and her body image no matter how much weight she lost.
Once she discovered the Alkaline Diet it was like she became a new person. She had a lot more energy overall, was more outgoing in general, but most of all, she gained more self-esteem and became happier about who she was as a person. In this way, I think that the Alkaline Diet is a miracle worker. I have now personally been converted into a believer
