Introduction
Tailgating has become an American tradition at sports games of all makes and sizes – from the hugely attended pro ball games to the dirt lot baseball game in the neighborhood – tailgating is found everywhere these days. Even when a good number of people don’t even have tickets to the games, they can be found in parking lots cooking up a storm and playing games like corn hole and ladder golf – community, friendliness and hospitality is what it is all about!
Good food and good sports share one common denominator – they both have to be live and in real time – talking about either in past tense does little in comparison. Tailgating brings the two to people who live in the moment
with friends and family in a world that often becomes disconnected and divisive. Tailgating food can be called comfort food as it brings about good experiences and good thoughts cradled in good intentions – there are no strangers in the parking lot when tailgating is present!
