      Most Americans dream of buying their own home. An individual's home is the single largest investment, not only of money but of time as well. Everyone wants their castle set up the way they want it, with all the features they have dreamed of, so you should do some research or get some simple education about this grand endeavor before taking the plunge.

      I have been in real estate since 1996 as an agent, appraiser, loan officer, and insurance agent. I have noticed that people do very little research about the complete home buying and selling process, simply jumping in blindly to what is actually a pretty detailed undertaking. Without doing any homework on the topic, people are making some poor decisions and are clueless as to what happens during the process of a real estate transaction. I have decided to write this book to help the average person understand the home buying process using simple language.
