The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword - The Cheat Mistress

The Legend of Zedla: Skyward Sword Walkthrough

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the sixth in an astounding series, following the adventures of Link.

When his close friend Zelda is taken into the dark world below the lands, Link begins a long and challenging quest to save her. His journey will take him from Skyloft to below the surface on a battle with many unknown dark forces.

With new features such as the new controls, which lets you control the sword wit the Wii Remote itself using Wii MotionPlus, the game draws you in like never before. There are also new elements such as a flying beetle, whip, slingshot and bow, all of which can be used and controlled with the Wii MotionPlus.

This guide is here to help you to complete the whole game as well as where to find pieces of treasure and how to solve the varying puzzles.

    The quest starts here.

    Knight Academy Dormitory

In the bedroom, look in the wardrobe to collect a blue rupee. Leave the bedroom and make your way to the double-doors to your left. You can speak to the people you pass if you like, but it’s not necessary.

As you leave, Instructor Horwell will stop you. Practise Z-Targeting by following his instructions. After that, he will teach you how to climb and then jump across to him. Do this by following his instructions once again.

If you continue talking to Horwell, he will offer you a side quest. Here, you will need to fetch Zelda’s pet, Mia. This is mostly a way to practice the controls, so if you take on the quest, follow the on screen prompts and climb your way to Mia.

Now you can go and meet Zelda at the Statue of the Goddess. Look out for stamina fruit on your way to her, they are worth collecting.

    Search for Link’s Missing Loftwing

When the Headmaster tells you, head back to Horwell. You need to find who is responsible for your loftwings disappearance. Head to the Plaza, which you’ll see at the very south of your map. Here you will find Groose, Cawling and Strich.

It seems these miscreants are responsible for your loftwing’s disappearance. Time to search. Head back towards the Academy and you’ll be called over by two guys. Go and speak to them. You’ll now be at the Sparring Hall. Go to the chest that is in the room just right of the Knight Commander. Here you will get the practice sword.

Back in the main part of the Hall, you can practice on the logs. Have a go then head out again to the waterfall.

When you see stepping stones, hop across them and carry on along the path. This will take you to a cave where the entrance is blocked. Cut down the wooden bars with you sword to enter the cave.

Follow the path through the cave, taking out enemies and collecting rupees as you go. When you jump off a small ledge, you will see a gap in the fence to your right. Head through that and autojump to the platform with a chest. Inside the chest you’ll find a red rupee. Jump off the platform and head up the hill. You’ll come to a small ledge, at which point you need to climb the vines. There’ll be another chest with a red rupee here.

Jump back down and carry on moving through the cave. Very soon, you’ll come across the exit. Before you leave, however, hop on to the platform on your right and crawl through the hole to find another two red rupees.

Now you can leave the cave. You can save your game at the Bird Statue. Watch the cutscene before heading down the path to find your Loftwing. Cut the ropes to free it.

You’ve freed your loftwing, so now in freefall, you can summon your loftwing. Simply follow Zelda’s instructions.

    Wing Ceremony

When the race begins, jump off the dock and summon your loftwing. The aim here is to retrieve the bird statue. You have to do this twice.

You can perform different dives and charge attacks to catch up. When Groose knocks you out of the race, re-perform the manoeuvres.

When you are close enough to the lure, use the A-button to grab it when prompted.

Groose and his friends will now throw eggs at you after this. So try to avoid them and continue trying to get the statue. Do this to obtain victory.

In the next cutscene, you will get the Sailcloth. This gives you the ability to jump safely from any height. When given the option, choose Nope and then learn the Sailcloth controls.

When Zelda pushes you off the ledge, steer towards the centre of the circle and then open your Sailcloth.

    Watch the cutscene.

    Fi’s Introduction

Once you have spoken to Zelda’s father, you can find a Blue Rupee in Link’s dresser and then exit the room. Follow the blue ghostly figure out of the dorm and along the cliffs.
