The International Students Guide to Colleges & Universities in The USA
()
About this ebook
When I was applying to college I was in your shoes: An International Student who knew where he wanted to go for his undergrad (The US), but didn't quite know where or how to take the next step.
After months of spending weeks and weekends researching every nook and cranny of colleges and the application process, I realized I had collected and stored up on so much pertinent information for aspiring International Students, that it would be a crime to not share it!
Once my Admission and Financial Aid offers started coming in, I knew I had taken the right steps in the application process. The way I had presented myself to colleges and universities worked and I can show you exactly how I did it.
You see, my family could only afford to pay a few thousand dollars every year so getting Financial Aid was of the utmost importance to me. Private institutions, like Liberal Arts Colleges (LACs), were generous towards international students, provided they felt that the student would a really good fit in their school and system. I presented myself in such a way that not only was I offered admission to universities, but I had Financial Aid Packages ranging from $140,000 to $215,000 from different universities and colleges.
I can show you the ways I used to prove to these institutions that I, an International Student, was worth that kind of money. I will guide you through every step of the way: From how to research and pick the right colleges for you to acing your Common App.

Introduction
Ask the average high schooler in November about where he’s applying to college in December, and chances are he’s still got no clue.
The thing is, a lot of teenagers take college admissions lightly and don’t start prepping for it early enough.
That might be okay if you’re American, but not if you’re hoping to be an international student come December. You, the International student, need to keep in mind that you are going to be spending the next four years of your life in the place you pick + you are going to be in a new country and environment.
You need to make sure the work and research you do reflect this type of commitment.
The LAST thing you want is to discover a deal-breaker after applying or getting admitted.
I was an international applicant not too long ago looking to study in the US. I remember feeling really lost at times and spending countless hours trying to find solutions to problems that were unique to me and a few others in my situation i.e. the international students.
My family could not afford to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on consultants. So I knew I had to get to the nitty-gritty of college research and the application process
