      Introduction

      "Exciting Things Happen When Women Pray"

      Prayer is the foundation of our relationships with God. It is through the various types of prayer that we are able to connect with Him and gain access to His undying love, grace and power. As a woman learning to take all of my cares, concerns and struggles to the Lord in prayer has been the most rewarding and comforting thing that I have ever learned to do.

      It was through my constant connection with God in prayer that I have been able to overcome some of life’s most challenging and devastating moments. Through divorce, abandonment, rejection, suicide attempts, and homelessness, God was always with me, He delivered me and He answered my prayers.

      No, this life of mine has not been easy. But I now know that out of every trying time and out of every challenging season a great victory can be won and a new hope can be found. When we choose to call on God and get Him involved in our lives through prayer, miracles begin to happen and things begin to change.

      It was the time I spent in prayer that literally saved my life. I was delivered from physical, mental and emotional torment when I began to experience God in a new way through prayer. I learned that real prayer is actually a two-way conversation with God, not just talking about my problems, but also listening for His answers to my problems.

      Sharing my daily thoughts, concerns and challenges was just one portion of my prayer life. Spending time with God, reading His word, listening for His voice and allowing him to talk to me, heal me and move me toward victory in various areas became the most important part of my prayer life. It became the most powerful part of my life over all.

      Now you may be asking yourself:

      Does prayer really work?

      Will God listen to my prayers?

      Will God speak to me when I pray?

      Will I really be able to make changes in my life if I pray?

      Can I find time in my busy day for prayer?

      Well, the answer to each these questions is a resounding, YES. Yes, prayer does work. Yes, God will listen to and answer your prayers. Yes, you can become a powerful woman of prayer. Yes, there is plenty of time in your day for prayer. And Yes things do change and miracles do happen when you pray. Yes, Yes, Yes.

      When we pray, the hand of God begins to move. Prayer moves us into a position of power. We become proactive in our circumstances. No longer do we have to accept the situations in our lives and in the lives of other as unchangeable realities. But we can effect a positive change within ourselves and within the world around us when we take time to pray.

      This book is designed to strengthen your relationship with God through an awareness of the power of prayer. Time spent with God in prayer is never wasted. In fact, it is one of the most productive activities you can participate in on a daily basis. You will see drastic improvements in your life when you make a daily commitment to spend time with God in prayer.

      God desires to hear from you. He is waiting to talk to you. God is ready to bless you. And He will heal, deliver and answer you as you spend time with Him in prayer.

      The prayers in this book are written by me and a group of my most trusted intercessors. Each of the mighty prayer warriors contributing to this project has been instrumental in praying with me and for me during times of struggle and challenge in my life. I am blessed to have them as my personal prayer inner circle and I am equally honored to share them with you.
