What’s it about?
Gone are the days in which women were confined to the home, playing the role of mother and housekeeper, their sole purpose being to cook, clean, and bring up the children. Gone, too, are the times when a male business owner might genuinely advertise for a pretty young blonde
to fit the role of their secretary—and thank goodness for that!
However, although women are filling job positions in greater numbers than ever before, and across a variety of industries, gender discrimination in the workplace is still prevalent. Clearly sexism is alive and well – particularly in the business world, where the female community is faced with a new type of bias: a subtle sexism that is no less harmful than some of its previous, more blatant manifestations. Women might not be getting jovially
