In this eBook I will teach you how to make the 5 basic Japanese ramen dishes. We will also discuss the essential ingredients of Japanese ramen. This eBook also includes some basic recipes that I use. I got most of them from the Internet.

Preparing and cooking ramen can be complicated and time consuming, but the result will be delicious! Not only that, Japanese ramen is also a healthy and balanced meal.

Like most Japanese meals, it has the following:

•Meat - a good source of protein

•Noodles - a carbohydrate rich substitute for rice and bread

•Vegetables - for fiber and vitamins

Cooking and making ramen is also considered to be a minor art by the Japanese. The ramen chef prepares it with loving care, but unlike haute cuisine by the French, ramen can be enjoyed by people from all walks of life.

What Is Ramen?

Miso Ramen

Ramen (ラーメン) is a very popular noodle dish in Japan. It is a healthy dish that is very different from the prepackaged ramen sold in supermarkets in the US. Each deep bowl of ramen consists of full-flavored broth, hand-pulled noodles or egg noodles, and vegetable and meat toppings, making it a complete and balanced meal.

There are a wide variety of ramen noodles in Japan. Every region and even every restaurant has its very own special version. Since most of the ingredients needed for making ramen are cheap in Japan, you can grab a hot bowl practically anywhere. Ramen has three basic broths: fish, chicken, and pork, but most ramen chefs use a combination of broths with additional ingredients thrown in to achieve a signature flavor.
