I started reading this. It was kind of.. cheesy I guess. And I didn't get what kind of character Nick was supposed to be. His point of view of the whole "Hebe is a gold-digger" was poorly supported and annoying. And what's with using challengingly and mockingly so much. Could not finish this book.

Even though i liked this book and enjoyed it as well, one thing i fail to understand is how the hero heroine love each other when they have never had a normal conversation where they told eachother abt their likes and dislikes? They have no clue who the other person is but they love each other. Passion and lust i get but not the lasting love. Ignoring this the book was a good light read.

Maybe I’ll come back to this later but I couldn’t make it pass chapter 3. The main characters have a one-night stand with the forbidden employee/boss angle. It’s awkward the next morning and they have no further contact until months later. He purchases a nude painting that without a doubt in his mind must be her. He knows for a fact that it’s her since he’s seen her naked, had a one night stand and therefore knows her body inside and out... it can’t possibly be a portrait of any of the other billions of women throughout the world. He causes a scene at work and calls her into his office. Screams, yells and attempts to slut-shame her which ultimately portrays him as an ignorant pig. Regardless of the fact that they have no relationship (outside of sleeping together ONCE ) he’s livid that she has a past. So this nude portrait MUST mean that her and the elderly artist were lovers. But twist, she’s adopted so she theorizes that its her biological mom...... So bad, I can’t even pretend to have enjoyed it. Although I’m almost interested in continuing just to see how the dead son/divorce angle will get a play out.
