A majority of Lake Lugano is in Switzerland and the top third of Lake Maggiore is as well, so that's gives you the opportunity to get a Swiss stamp in your passport! However, the language, cuisine and wine will all be Italian, so fear not! Lago d'Orta is a very small but very special lake, rich in history and beauty.
